Even during a possible WW3 bitcoin will still exist by the bias of military networks that could use bitcoin to send payments to troops or guns...
You think that in WW3 we will use a lot of soldiers and currencies will be valid?
You're very much mistaken.

You're very much mistaken.

That depends on a lot of factors, starting by "when its going to be the next WW", not wishing it tho.
Currencies are always valid, we can change the type of the currency but we do need to keep paying war costs.
but one thing we can be sure, crypto currencies are here and going to stay alive, then can evolve, mutate but the concept it's always there.
What better then crypto currencies to pay for war costs anonymously .

but that's just my opinion...

Hi all, newbie here!

I've been hearing of bitcoins for nearly a year now and only recently have sat up and taken notice as the value has crept up gradually and is now just above $1000.

I kick myself for not having bought in earlier but am now trying to set up a wallet, encryption and joining exchanges to try and buy 1 or 2 BTC! However there are big hurdles to buying into this currency. Firstly it is very geeky and requires a lot of computer know how - not a problem for me but def a problem for non-techy people.

The currency is thus limited to people with tech knowhow and with access to technology - that in itself is a big market but to really make BTC acceptable and used by everyone (including those in 3rd world countries) some enhancements need to be made along with simplification of the ownership process.

Just my 2 pence worth!

Bye

yes there is definitely much room for innovation and expansion in the Bitcoin and alt-coin markets. One of the biggest things will be making it easier to use for normal people.

You guys should really all think different.

1 BTC is worth 1/21.000.000 of all Bitcoins, not 1000$, this is just what people are willing to pay now. When you are buying a Bitcoin now, you hold 1/21.000.000 of the future money. I would say much more than 1000$ and even much more than 10.000$

bitcoin not die but its value may down to the hell ,because there are many people that have mining btc(don´t pay for it) they don´t appreciate the btc,is only a bubble for win easy money.

I would say miners appreciate the value of the coin even more!

I agree with both of you. With the limited quantity and usefulness of the Bitcoin protocol, it will easily hit 5 figures in my mind. There are quite a few features of the protocol that just lay dormant waiting to be developed.
