I posted this on the gamblers thread and was asked to post it here as well.

Just-Dice is having a logo contest. Feel free to check it out, offer your opinions, and create a logo if you like!

These are the polls I created for the new logo contest.

https://99designs.ca/logo-design/vote-5kzf93   First Poll

https://99designs.ca/logo-design/vote-m9ljcq   Second Poll

I can't add new designs to the polls, so will probably just make a new poll every day.

Here is the link to the page with all the designs.

Man, most of those designs are horrible at low resolutions. You'd really want something that you could strip away the text and use as your favicon.ico.

How much work did they have to do? It looks like they can just copy/paste the site design CSS, but they would have to remake the backend of the site.

I like how on the Chinese site the site profit is so low it's obvious the owners are cheating.

Is it still up? I get an error: https://i.imgur.com/f66hxSU.png

What is that vertical jump in the profit line that occurred on the 12th, 15th, and 16th?

Someone losing a lot of bitcoins with just a few rolls of the dice.

Lots of people use martingale betting on the site.  They start by betting a very small amount relative to the bankroll they have available, and double their bet until they win.  So long as they win one roll before the doubling gets out of hand, they are guaranteed a small profit.  This happens over and over, with the player taking a small profit from the site very reliably, and the siite profits gradually go down.  This is balanced by players not using martingale betting, who gradually lose due to the house edge.

Eventually the martingale players hit 10 or 15 or whatever losses in a row, and lose their entire bankroll.  This shows up as a vertical jump in the profit chart.

Apparently this style of betting is particularly common when people play with Bitcoin, and I'm not sure why.

Here's a typical profit/loss chart of a single martingale player.  Thousands of small wins followed by a catastrophic loss that wipes out all previous wins:

Add a whole bunch of similar looking charts together and you get something like the site profit chart...

Martingale is probably popular with Bitcoin because (as a guess) those who use Bitcoin are probably more likely to be interested in following techniques etc (Showing the inner geek?) with the idea of reducing losses/turning a profit?.

Another reason may be that people can bet in very small amounts of money with Bitcoin, allowing those with smaller bankrolls to martingale.

The reality of Martingale is, if you do it enough - eventually you will deplete your bankroll BEFORE you win, as illustrated in the above chart.
