There is something wrong with the calculations on Slush's pool.  I finally just had to leave - haven't had the problem on other pools.

Ten minutes seems a bit much for the reset - I went with /30 for every 1/2 hour...

...

Thanks!
Although every 10min?

I am only experiencing this issue with Slush's pool, all others been running fairly stable.
Yes, I'm on Slush's. I thought that it is a local proxy problem and that it would be the same with other pools. It seems now that the problem may be on the Slush's end.

I had to reset BF miner for my hashrate dive down low and first time I had to do it.

Anyone know if this heatsink sell on ebay will work fine with Hboard http://www.ebay.ca/itm/100x120x20mm-Aluminum-Heat-Sink-for-Electronics-Computer-Electric-equipment-H153-/181110341403?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a2b047f1b

The height of that heatsink is 20mm - the space between h-boards is 20mm.  It might fit, but it would impede circulation even if it did.

definatly too high if another card is behind the card with the sink.. in a full setup I would suggest heatsinks with an height of 10-max15mm

keep in mind too that the connectors for the board may need extra bracing against the added weight of a  big heat sink. probably 2-4x the pcb weight and off-set from the center of gravity

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

IMHO those connectors are a bit of a weak-point of the H-boards - they don't seem to provide much mechanical support, and if you really can put boards in back to front, that's a nightmare!

Hi Punin and team, sorry to do this here, but we've got a couple of problems with orders on our account that need to be resolved and we've not been able to get a reply using the "contact us" form on the website or email over the last couple of weeks. What's the best way for us to be contacting you to get these problems sorted out?

I apologize for lack of communication. I'm on a business trip in Ukraine, really busy and seldom have access to internet. I'll start to catch up on backlog of mails and requests after I return (probably only by weekend).

That would be great, thanks Punin. Hope you have a good trip.

Has the solder process been modified or is it still possible to get bad soldered boards with the october delivery units?
Does anyone know something about this?

did bitfury offer miner that make ROI possible?

At the beginning of July it was a gamble to buy a full kit, but it was still possible to break-even.

Now that they've built the 200 TH mine and GHash.io no august unit (full or base kit) will break-even and I start to fear that october units are not going to break even as well and even more so if you have/had to pay VAT.

did bitfury offer miner that make ROI possible?

I bought 2 starter kits for August delivery and paid 1.000€ each, got them on September 4th and mined a bit more than 3 BTC with them until today. Two other investments are in limbo, one huge in semi-limbo with 20%, maybe 100% loss, waiting for refund, and the final two refunded after several months, one of them with 9% loss. All money I put in came from own labour.

So the BFSB investment is the only one, that actually brings me back something. And this makes me very, very happy. If I get a ROI? I do already! If I ever break even? Only time will tell  Smiley
I only know the product and the company behind it are rock solid, tell me one other this can be said of. Thats why I reinvested.

Going to re-ask my question here, as I am unsuccessful in the US thread:

I received my starter kit today from MBP with the v2.3 M-board, and wired everything up correctly. The unit did NOT come with an SD card, and I had to download this image and load it to an 8GB microSD with adapter: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zjk90fjra5bwhnd/rPi_V2.img

1) put it in, powered up, and tried to connect to the default ip via chrome, IE, and PUTTY SSH. no luck
2) powered down, and added to the cmdline.txt file:     ip=192.168.1.249     (supposedly the default)
2a) re-tried step 1. chrome and IE quickly return "could not connect" errors, and SSH results in "connection refused"
3) repeat step 2 with 192.168.1.240 in case of IP conflicts. result is same as step 2a

I have no monitor/keyboard at my disposal, so i cant just set up a workstation at my unit. can someone confirm if the image i used is the issue, or point me in a direction of a different image for a v2.3 m-board?

This is racking my brain, keeping me up. I wont be able to try any tweaked methods until tomorrow after work, which means I just missed out on 24hrs of mining because a $5 SD card was not included with my unit.

Usually when I have had those issues the problem has been with the SD-card type. RPi doesn´t work well with all SD-cards.

Going to re-ask my question here, as I am unsuccessful in the US thread:
Ben's suggestion is the best way to solve the problem.

after a massive roundabout circle of VMware permissions, i still cant modify th efiles in the linux partition of the SD card. without a linux computer/poweruser, how the hell am i supposed to fix the default ip address of 10.10.1.249?

with vmware it seems to deny my ownership of the filesystem and any changes i try to save are denied by a gedit error
Maybe you missed my suggestion, so here it is again:
You could also burn an Ubuntu live CD or create a live USB stick. Boot Ubuntu, mount the sd card, edit the file, ...

edit: got a program to read file sin the linux partition, and i see:

auto lo

iface lo inet loopback
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 10.10.11.249
netmask 255.0.0.0
gateway 10.1.1.1

allow-hotplug wlan0
iface wlan0 inet manual
wpa-roam /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
iface default inet dhcp

however, i cannot edit it, only save it to windows with this program Angry

edit2: guess ive gotta go the long way around, get ubuntu on vmware and try fixing it that way...
