grnbrg, has there been any communication with LabRat?
He's been incommunicado for two weeks...
Yes, I've exchanged a couple of emails with him.  Not much to share, other than waiting for hardware.

I know we've got a large Monarch order coming, and news from BFL is looking good on that.  'End of December.'  Riiiiiiiight....

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

So exactly what I said two weeks ago when everyone thought I was just trolling and grnbgbgbgrgng told  us all to be patient for a couple of weeks, which we were and what has happened? Nothing, aside form Zach letting the questions drift to the back of peoples minds in the hope he can quietly let lab-rat mining die while he takes on a well paid job with coinseed.

Well, with all the respect i'd say Monarch my ass!!!

quoting BFL announcement from 18 Feb:

Chip testing is still in process. There is currently no reports of problems with the chip bring up, but it's been hampered by the wire bonding being a severely limiting factor in being able to adequately test the chip.

To that end, the finished/packaged chips have been delivered to the testing facility this evening. Testing of the fully packaged chips is projected to begin on Wednesday the 19th. This should make testing both easier, faster and more accurate. It will ultimately give us the initial maximum hashrate and power draw of the chips. This process could take anywhere from 1 day to a week or more - until testing is started, its hard to say what is required to finish the testing. If everything works first time around, then it doesn't take long. If there are things that need to be examined closer, it can cause the testing to take longer.

I will update again when there is a change in status.

So my wild guess would be that we wont see any monarch's till mid summer. Prove me wrong. We have been through this in the past, the production blabla is just copy/paste from the Little singles and singles project.

Simply saying something is factually correct doesn't make it so.

Neither does saying something is FUD make it FUD.

I don't see too much difference in those statements.  Smiley

On the plus side, I'm pretty sure LRM is in the day-1 orders, and should be among the first Monarchs to ship.

But yeah, Two Weeks™....

That info no longer seems to get released, can't remember exactly what the pre-cursor to that was . .  . anyone? Hmmmm some vague memory of Noteplant, Coinplant, PlantSeed something like that and oh yeah Zach got a new job and now has no time for LRM.

This adds fuel to debate on why should cryptocurrencies be regulated.
Someone sets up an investment vehicle and then ignores their contracted or expected obligations to the investors. Labrat's status shows he comes online regularly but can't spare any time to even outline the weekly payout - let alone providing any update on the receipt of equipment or updates on that seed thingy.

Chill guys , as we have learned from past there always has been gap between the updates, spit the anger & keep calm as I have first hand experience of posting not so happy here & not getting any thing back, if every thing was perfect in this world then we would not need bitcoin and many other things .... so be grateful for what we got & look around , while LRM is work in progress there are other investment opportunities like Petamine , its best to not have all the eggs in one basket , things will be better here but it will take time , hope fully soon.  I am not defending LRM but there is no point boiling our blood if end result is nothing.

We should all politely request that Lab_Rat give us updates.  And politely request them again and again if we do not get the updates.  There is no point in posting angry messages.  But we also don't need to sit idly by and let Lab_Rat think that it's okay that he doesn't give us updates.

I don't think it's too much to ask for a weekly update that occurs around the same time that dividends are issued.

Something quick would be better than nothing.  Even if it's just something like:

Dividends paid on xx\xx\xx date
Amount per dividend: xxxxx
Current hashrate: xxxx
Expected hashrate increase: xxxx on xx\xx\xx
Waiting for hardware from BFL.  Expect it on xx\xx\xx
etc...

A little bit of info would go a LONG way toward keeping everyone happy.

Just my 2¢.

Wow... no announcement on their twitter/facebook though. They might have taken down the site to implement those issues they were talking about.

EDIT: THEY DELETED THEIR TWITTER ACCOUNT!
