From my own experiences of the last few days, please keep a close watch on your pool server because for now with 11 miners and 5 MHash it is running smooth, but wait till you get 100 miners with 100 MHash and see your server crash as well. You need to prepare to scale because if you won't the system will crash.

Wish you the best tho, we need several stable pools to get this coin mining stable as well.

In an attempt to help stabilize CSC we have decided to launch MooPool.com. Aimed at providing a place for consistently stable, fair, and honest mining we hope to help the CSC community grow in strength and numbers. We expect MooPool.com to have enough power to operate without any lag. Additionally, we have a lot of plans to continuously develop MooPool.com with new coins, and custom features we have yet to see in any other pool.
This post marks our launch, and we invite everyone to come try out the water!

MooPool.com

Coins We Mine
[CasinoCoin Pool] [DogeCoin Pool]
(Tax% Varies Per Pool)

Pool Specs
VARDIFF
Stratum
PPLNS
1 CSC min automatic payout threshold

Features Being Developed
MooPool.com Is currently developing a custom front end with custom features!
These custom features will include a referral program, allowing miners to reduce their personal tax by inviting new miners.
Have an idea for a custom feature? Let us know in our main thread!

People seem to have some issues with the pools, so I decided to rent some hardware and setup a pool:

http://csc.hash.so/
I wish i was getting 16k btc a day Shocked
Have a look at the est btc per day
It's an estimate how much your coins are worth soon. Thanks, fixed it!

I e-mailed BTER today and asked them to add CasinoCoin. Cryptsy has a daily trading volume of more than 50 BTC for casinocoin so it should be interesting for BTER also.

I will let you know their reply on this forum.

If you think I have done well, feel free to send a few CSC to:

I don't know why people are still mining on the coinarmy pool.  I'm not touching that pool until everything is completely fixed.  I had over 900 coins in my account when it went down and my account is still empty.

Ouch that's no good.. We just launched MooPool.com a little bit ago today. You're welcome to try it out if you want. Min payout is currently 2.5CSC(may change just our starting number) so you shouldn't get 900 coins backed up.. We run on pretty decent servers too, expecting to be able to handle 500MH/s to start. Give us a try if you like, we're getting close to our first public block.

It wouldn't be any time in the next few weeks but great job!
The more attention the coin gets the more followers will join in, this meaning us who got in early will benefit!
We have some good news coming this week as well.. We are almost in agreement with a very popular onlinecasino.
If there are any devs who are interested in helping with a transfer solution for CSC to Online Casinos please pm us.

You are one of the best in the dev team.

We all expect all round recognition of CSC.

plus we need forum with no more spams.

and we need more application and some more exchanges!

hope to hear more good news!

I also got annoyed that the pools were having such a bad time. And as my day job is as a server admin (nginx+php+mysql, 1000+ servers "basic stuff"), I decided that I should probably start my own to see if it's super difficult and that's why people have issues Smiley

Random rambling time now, sorry if it's incoherent and not on topic.

So I started. I rented a server, 4 core i7 930 CPU, 24GB of ram and 2 slow sata HDDs, bought a domain hash.so (which I thought was reasonably good, didn't want to spent much time picking one up:)). 2-3 hours of sysadmining and the pool was up (also backups going to my secondary server). The server currently costs me 44€ per month, including VAT. Currently we have 44Mh/s of hashing power and the server has very very modest load. I would expect it to handle about 500Mh/s without needing to change much. This brings me to my main point, pool fees.. Currently I'm charging 0%, because I'm just that nice, but I'm moving to 0.5% pool fee, which means I would get 215kH/s, that according to http://www.coinwarz.com/ would make me $5.67 per day or $170 per month.

So TL;DR. Running a pool is easy (as long as you know what you are doing), and everyone who is charging more than 0.5% of pool fees is in my opinion charging you too much Smiley Unless of course there are additional services included like they send you flowers or something. Obviously pools like
https://www.hashco.ws/stats.php need to charge you more. But setting up a basic mpos pools is pretty freaking easy.

Happy to answer any questions and give tips to other pool providers if they need them. This is just a fun hobby for me, not worried about loosing "market share"  or income Smiley

edit: forgot to advertise my pool Smiley http://csc.hash.so/ Pool fee currently 0%, and I promise it's never going over 0.5%..

edit2: oh and miners actually _DONATE_ me coins, pretty darn sweet! I can probably keep the fee at 0%

Everything is going rock solid over at MooPool.com! Our hardware is holding stable and we're well on our way to finding our first block.

As a special offer, MooPool will be dropping it's pool fee to 0% for the next 24 hours. 0% fee will end tomorrow at 3PM Eastern Standard Time.

EDIT: First block has been found! Remember to set your minimum payout threshold Smiley

UPDATE: http://www.casinocoin.coinarmy.com

We made it! First off let me apologize for my earlier word of victory. I now realize the depth at which it takes to run a pool. So for that I am sorry.

GOOD NEWS

We now have all the right people on our team. We have fixed every single bug that came up. The pool is now running stable and growing faster than we ever imagined.

I also want to thank every one of you from this community for sticking it out with us. It was tough and you guys where there for us. That means a lot to our hearts and it also means we need to put many features in place to give back to our community in the coming months!

We also now bypassed our 80 active members mark and we are running flawlessly. We have purchased enough equipment to handle 100's of users now. We will continue to get more servers as we grow as needed. We are 100% in this with all of you, we will make damn sure that all of you are taken care of. We also have 5 nice rigs so we understand the massive bills that come along with it. We have your back! We have been mining coins for quite some time now!

So the pool is stable as of now, we have 136 Active miners and growing by the hour!

Come join the CoinArmy! We will always give back to our community no matter what. We have many plans in the works for the near future for you guys too! We think about all you daily as we do this. This is for you!

Here is our server setup:

-Stratum
-VARDIFF
-Every 1 Min block stats update
-Every 10 Seconds Dashboard Stats update
-Instant payout once a block is confirmed
-Block finder bonus (0.5 CSC bonus for finding a block)
-PPLNS
-2% Fee
-Payouts every 1 minute
-Dedicated Staff (We are here everyday for you)

Thank you again for all the support, now get ready for the CoinArmy to expand and ALL of us to benefit from it! We got this!

Also for those of you that are having been with us since the begining, you have to change your PIN. Email us what you want your pin to be and we will change it. We will be getting a Change Pin feature added very soon.

With all the lag and payments issues we've been seeing in CSC pools my Dev partner and I have decided to get our own pool running on our server. We expect it to have enough power to operate without any lag. This post marks our soft launch and we invite anyone to come try out the water. If things are going well we will move into a full launch and begin marketing the pool and pursuing further development. We have a lot of plans to continue developing the pool with new coins, and custom features we have yet to see in any other pool. To start, we're just sticking to a basic pool structure to get things rolling and make sure it all works properly.

MooPool.com
Estimated capabilities: 500MH/s (To be upgraded if needed)
VARDIFF
Prop Pool
5% Fee to help cover server costs, and full time development.
0% Fee For First 24 Hours After Launch! (Till 3:00PM EST 12/16/13!)
(We will be adding features to reduce this fee per user, down to 0%!)

just started mining here today, I think it works but I've received 0.02 CSC after 2 hours of mining. GTX260, cgminer without tweaks @ 1636 Kh/s. A cpu miner is also active.

Do I need to adjust cgminers settings and if so, what and how? Can/should I use cudaminer on moopool? (great name btw)

Also the wallet hasnt synced since it fails to connect.

Any advice greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I would use CudaMiner as you will get better hash rates with it. I would check and see if you're actually mining @ 1636kh/s however, as I don't see you reporting that many to the pool. The pool shows you running at 2kh/s. If your workers are in fact connected to the pool, I would be glad to help you find the problem. Thank you for mining with us Smiley
