You should split the co-altcoin to invest, to diversify the other co-altcoin, diversify your account, minimize the risk

you can buy some good coins.  NEO, Nucleos Vision, ETH, ICON, wetoken, EOS, Cardano, Monero, tron, Wanchain
Those are all viable options but also investing all in BTC isn't that bad. Less hassle and almost guaranteed profit. But anyway I would still invest at least 10% in some ICOs.

if you are looking for where to invest money for a long time, look ahead of all on the fundamental projects. This should be a blockade, such as Ethereum, NEO, NEM, Cardano. My personal choice - NEM. The project always showed itself only from the best side and its prospects are enormous

I am more advocated for ethereum, eth tends to be stable in the rate of decline and grow slowly but surely. This is one of the advantages of ethereum. I guess you can try to share it for investing on some ico. I think there is ico who really deserve to invest.

Invest 80% of that fund into ethereum and 20% of the remaining balance into bitcoin. Put your coin in cold wallet and go about your business. After three years, come back for your investment and  I am sure you will be glad with what you will see.

Which is a safe coin to invest in the long term?
How long should I hold it?

Is there a risk that I might lose it all?

I am a noob in cryptocurrencies. Help.  Huh

I was thinking Litecoin, is it a good idea?
Dear mate welcome in the crypto world. In here there is a big opportunity to earn more money. So mate if you can invest your money you can buy BTC and hold it for 3/4 years i think after those year will will be a rich man. And you already have known all business have a little bit risk so don't worry man.

if I only had that $12000 right here right now then I will surely invest half of it to all of those unknown low value crypto currency out there which I think has the greater chance of surviving in the crypto market and eventually increase its market value.

Investing in this year's encryption market, I think that many cryptocurrencies are worth holding for a long time. If you have $12,000, I suggest you invest in some of the more valuable cryptocurrencies, such as Ethereum or Bitcoin.

I do not advise to invest in projects for a long time. We do not know what will happen to the market in 2-3 months, so it is very dangerous to buy coins for long-term storage.

With the current market you can't really know what's gonna happen tomorrow, so I'd say it's all the same.

But I would advise to do a due diligence on every coin you're planning to invest in and also diversify your portfolio, invest in more coins than one - this way risks will be a bit lower.

We should assume that join an ICO render worth opportunities to most other market participants nevertheless coins can become less agressive at least for greener followers with average inestability. Go for an ICO.

If you are going to invest in long walks, I would suggest that you make as much Ethereum as the amount. If you ask why, it is both reliable and low prices. I suggest you take it late.

For the same amount you can buy some good coins. Something from Ethereum, bitcoin, EOS or neo. Maybe you'll buy each of these coins. I would have done so. I think that all of them will grow in 2018, but I do not know how much.

If we talk about December last year, it seems like wherever we go will be a bad deal. But with $ 12k at the moment, I will buy 1 Bitcoin, 5k ripple, and the rest on Eos and some ico.

I highly prefer to invest on bitcoins because the market price of this coin is growing so fast and you will surely earn a huge amount of profit if you are patient enough to hold your coins.
