May be, considering the returns, h2o could hire someone to make a modern website
you can't be serious, right?  this site looks awesome: don't change a thing.

If modern site = longer page load time, than no thanks, I'm good. Keeping the announcements up to date really shouldn't be that hard, but whatever - it's probably not something that's the biggest issue during 100%/day growth periods. Things will get a lot less interesting pretty soon.

Archiving the thousands of inactive addresses would reduce server load and make things easier on everyone. That should be done real soon.

After the insane payouts of the last few days, I think many new comers will be unsatisfied with the NORMAL payouts going forward. I've been on middlecoin for a few months now and I know that the pool goes through a feast and famine cycles. We are/were in the feast cycle and I fear a famine cycle is coming.

I like the ancient website style Cheesy
I agree. They should make no unnecessary changes that may have a negative impact on the bottom line.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I speak for everyone here when I say that middlecoin rocks, H2odysee rocks and the website is fine. I haven't tried the python script yet but I will as I've been using the website to check my progress every hour to give me an idea of my 24 hr performance. I've been with you since August on and off H2odysee and you don't need to change a thing. Even if I go back to 0.3 BTC/day I will be very happy as you have made me some goooood money.

I considered solo mining the most profitable coins, on coinwarz, coinchoose, and wheretomine, but doing your own trades is a hassle and you could get stuck with a million Doge and nowhere to dump them which was *and still is* my biggest fear. Last week it was Cinnamon coin and by the time I switched all my miners over the difficulty reported on some of the above mentioned sites was dead wrong.

I'm still learning(only started mining this summer with 2.4Mhash, I got serious when LTC went to $50) so I have room to grow and I feel I can do that with H2odysee backing me up.

Also, I've been reading Coingeek's charts for so long that when he posted in this thread recently I literally peed myself a bit.

I am impressed with H2odysee's responsiveness and me and my ~12Mhash feel that we have picked a winning horse.

I'm sure the other top 100 hash rates agree.

Anyways sorry for the ramble.

I made a simple webpage which only shows your own information.

http://bitcoinideal.eu/middlecoin/index.php?username=1JDHbrQLXegdQX8gyreMmd4A2oK6zHpYg

Just put your BTC address after "username=". Information will automatically refresh after 5 minutes.

That's the thing. It takes a while for me to load all the page, and it takes a while to render, to be honest. And CoinGeek's graphs are updated not often as well because it takes a while to do that for everyone on the server, while it could be done in javascript.

But I like the "old good web 1.0 style"!

yeah i agree with everyone else, the modern websites with highly detailed info of everything are nice.  But those pools seem to get attacked/have their frontend go down a lot too.

The JSON is just a reflection of the data on the main page. h2o made it available some time back:

How did you manage to get 0.3 btc with your 2.4 MHs? I have way more MHs than you but the most I got from middlecoin is 0.2 btc!!!

He has 12MH/s, not 2.4 :-P  My assumption is 2.4MH is what his first rig did, and now he has 5 rigs :]  I think a lot of people will be disappointed once we go back to the "normal" days (I was getting around .12 - .13BTC max with 7.5MH at the time), however, that's life haha. The goal should be to continue to grow your hashing power... that way, even if each rig only makes $15-20 a day or so, it's still a viable source of income.

I agree with many of the others in saying please don't waste time or resources on "pretty" stuff for the website; It will further slow stuff down, and as long as the pools are operating smoothly, the fluff quite frankly isn't necessary.

Just remember the payout for yesterday happened around 12 hours late, presumably because of the cryptsy issues.

We're still in amazingly great times, just slightly less great than the last few days. If you'd offered me the current profitability a week ago, I'd have fallen over myself to accept, as would anyone.

having everything on the page makes it simple to add all the columns up.  All the data is in one place, not hidden in in the back office.  Anybody can reconcile the ledger to their satisfaction.  This type of transparency is refreshing.

what would reduce the server load the most is if people would stop obsessively F5 F5 F5 F5 to see small numbers change every few minutes.

I fully agree. I am curious, will the payout keep the 24 hrs interval, and thus happen again tomorrow morning, or will this be a short day and happen at UTC 2:30 as before?

Well as the last payout was delayed my guess is you should add up yesterday and today's pay and divide by 2 to get a more accurate measure of the pool performance.... and yes it continues to be insane  Grin

So much wonderful wow  Cool
