Maybe front is getting ddos:ed.

Why would anyone want to DDOS Middlecoin in the first place?

Especially since this isn't even a pool that has registration...its not like its a disgruntled user. Tongue

Competing pools maybe? Who knows.

Anyone who thinks it is more profitable to just go and mine dogecoin straight away? Are we even sure we are currently mining dogecoin and not something less profitable?

Check your difficulty in cgminer, and if you're on an older one do the math, it will be pretty easy to see which scrypt coin we are mining based on profitability and that

Dogecoin block time is 1 min and cgminer says average is 1.1 min. So we must be mining dogecoin now I assume?

I'm working on fixing the issues. The US pool should be back up. If you are still having issues with it, let me know in here.

The webpage is temporarily available at: http://middlecoin2.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/

Someone said here that h2o is raking in tens of thousands of dollars a month... someone is gel ... and wants to take it down to ward of new miners.

At least we get a better ddos protection in the future...

If anyone else needs to restart cgminer to get it to work, let me know. I'm curious if that's needed.

The site goes down a lot which is very annoying. The owner should invest some of his profit in anti-ddos service like Incapsula to protect his site.

I have 2 rigs, both 2x7950s right now. Waiting on risers to move them all to one rig and get more cards in play.
I came home from work and one rig was mining away normally, but one had locked down both cgminer and cgwatcher. I closed both programs and resarted, but only 1 card was recognized. I swapped dummy plugs and the monitor around several times to no avail. Turning off the rig didn't help, but turning it off, unplugging both the power supply and the video card, then plugging all back in and restarting seemed to work. Both rigs are reporting proper work at middlecoin, so I'm not worried about the work being done. I'm sure the website will be back up soon.

You are probably aware but there is a rogue sell order on coins-e that is throwing off the profitability on coinwarz, I presume you are using that site as we are still on doge but it's only the 10th most profitable coin at the correct rate.

From what I've seen the main display has issues sometimes with updating but this pool has very little downtime.  If you look at multi pool or hash cows they go down about daily

I honestly don't think you need to be telling H2O this! ;-) Seems like he has complete control over the situation. I'm really happy at least.

Multipool connection issues led me to mine only on middlecoin... the had issues with both the stratum server and the frontend. At middlecoin the stratum server is almost always up, and now they have the eu server as backup.

The lagging of updates to the graphs and data on the front page has been aggravated by the pool tripling in size in just the last week. It looks like h2o is using amazon hosting now, so hopefully that fixes everything.

In case it helps with debugging: cgminer needed restarting in two out of five cases here because of lost connections, and the two cases were at different times. The other three are fine.
