In the next year ETH will overtake BTC as the number 1 cryptocurrency. I would unload your bitcoin while you still can.
To be honest mate this could happen if bitcoin loses its power if the icos that are coming out stop using bitcoin to trade their tokens but i dont think its ever gonna happen. Will see . and if it does we hope it doesnt affect us. |

Hopefully, if/when eth takes over btc, all the altcoins will stop being dependent on the number one coin (btc) and rise/fall accordingly.

That is a possibility since bitcoin price is more unstable that ethereum but it would take years from now or decades. If more people are getting interested with ethereum than bitcoin I think ethereum will finally take over bitcoins place. In the end it really depends on the popularity of the coin.

It is possible that Ethereum to overtake Bitcoin, but not this year, I think
Here I agree, even if Ethereum surpasses btc, it will not be very soon and everything else, btc should cease to be used in different Hindu structures of States, and ethereum, on the contrary, should begin to be used everywhere. |

I don't think that Etherium will ever manage to bitcoin as cryptocurrency No. 1 because all of us know that the Bitcoin has much more users and investors in comparison with Etherium which is younger. Always was in all news that the bitcoin is on continuous increase in its market value, despite some time when its market value falls. He always seeks to rise again, covering your losses and acquiring profit.

The market is not good and prices are all low. the biggest 2 coin eth and btc in the market. but it is now impossible to pass the btc price of the eth price. I think this is the state of the imagination

In my sincere opinion, I do not think etherum has the capacity to overtake bitcoin in the near future. Bitcoin is the father of all crypto currencies and also regarded as a store of value. I do not see etherum overtaking bitcoin to claim the number one spot

I don't thinkk it is possible for that. The bprice of them may be low at some point but it will be still the king of the market. |

Yes i agree with you, bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrencies and however ethereum is just copy cat of bitcoin with some new feature are like smart contract and decentralize application (dapps) of course include scaling and security problem too.  if we know ethereum be used for payment on the most ICO but doesn't mean it will overtake the bitcoin. |

I think ETH will not be able to beat bitcoin. I think ETH is still influenced by bitcoin at present, when bitcoin is low, ETH is still low, showing that bitcoin is now 10 times higher than ETH. I hope the ETH will soon grow stronger and grow, and bring in huge profits for everyone.

Yeah it is but everything about the crypto world is unpredictable and there are just so few we can imagine, knowing that what is meant to happen, will happen eventually. I am not sure bitcoin will remain stagnant, and a lot of progress is going on which would make bitcoin usable as currency but for now, it would be a hard time for any currency to overtake bitcoin, but nothing is easy in the world of crypto. |

There are absolutely 0 chances for ETH to take over BTC. After all these ICO's cooldown the marketcap of Ethereum will drop down dramatically. It's not even the best platform for tokens anymore, the blockchain constantly gets clogged. There are far better platforms for tokens nowadays and people will figure that out soon. Go do some research before talking about things that you have no clue about

In my opinion, Ethereum is a great coin, no doubt about that, but saying that it would overtake Bitcoin is something that couldn't be quite possible.
Bitcoin is known to a greater people than ethereum. When anyone is going into Crypto, the first thing he learns of is Bitcoin.
Furthermore, Bitcoin controls a host of other Cryptos.
