Just wondering if ETH can

Its really hard to tell but its almost far from possible. As observed, bitcoin and ethereum seems to make an even gap among themselves. Ethereum isn't gaining against bitcoin. When bitcoin goes down, so is ethereum.

I dont think that ETH would over take or just reach BTC value. As we see the bitcoin current price right now it would be impossible for some altcoin to overtake its price and if it would happen maybe bitcoin cash will take its place first because its value is higher than ETH at this moment. And that just my opinion.

Possible yes. And bitcoin started out just like ethereum a couple of years back so we wouldn't know years from now if btc popularity will cease or slow down and eth will be able to catch up but one thing is that it's not impossible.

But BTC was the first crypto in town, there was nothing comparable before, so it's not fair to say ETH doesn't exist that long yet, but in the future it can gain.
Between the two I think it depends how the transaction scalability plays out. ETH has advantages on the smart contract/token side, BTX (still) on the popularity side. If they both can manage to enable a large amount of transactions per second then ETH will surpass BTC at some point. Nobody knows if another third competitor will make the race though...

As long as The Genesis Address remains with no withdrawals made and Satoshi stays anonymous, ETH ain't gonna come close to BTC. The anonymity of Nakamoto is the reason for the success crytos right now.
