This guy has lost 103 bitcoins he mined back in 2011 and then lost his wallet dat file similar to what I have done but wow this guy must be gutted the amount of money he has lost compared to me

His Address    166BuLPWHUjqoqiYp5rGE3B5r5AmqgHpoL    Final Balance   103.20832384 BTC

So many people have the same problem and I wonder just how much Bitcoin is stuck not being able to be used Sad

He says "I used to mine Bitcoin back in 2011 and I lost my wallet.dat file (through several stupid moves on my part). It's got approx 103 BTC in it, anyone is welcome to it, I've given up trying."

Is this a joke? Seriously and kidding aside,  I this this is too good to be true or can I say too good to be bad?  Why?  It is because it is a very large amount maybe today but actually even before it is a big amount in terms of the number of bitcoin.  I am not that expert in Bitcoin but I think its if this is true,  the owner is probably his fault if anyone had known his password because it's actually hard for anyone to hack a password.  It is maybe because of his incapabilities.

I also saw somewhere a rating where the largest bitcoin's sums that people lost were indicated. So this guy is not the only one unhappy. We just always hope that this will not happen to us, so we carelessly take care of the safety of our assets. So we need to be a little more attentive.

This is very surprising, i mean how is he going to bear this big lost. please the rest of us has to be careful in how we keep the details of our wallet, at least share it with your wife/husband or your child so that they can help when we are lost, this is too big to loose

He miner bitcoin, but bitcoin is not appreciated that much way back seven years ago. Bitcoin has a little value at that time but daymmmmmn that 103 bitcoin is wasted and can never be used already. You can not access it if that is the case
But hey it is not a big loss coz probably it is easy to mine back then. Not a big loss but a huge disappointment that he can not use it

I felt really bad for him with that kind of experience I don't even know what to do. Losing something that you worked hard for a long time is not easy. It will be such a big disappointment because your effort turns into nothing. However that must be a learning experience so heads up and strive again to get back.

I have experience this also when one of my wallet was hacked i was very sad and disappointed. So i  have created so many wallets and my earnings was being put into them. There are so many ways to do on how to secure your coins.

Yes, with that big amount of btc, he's already a billionaire here in our country if it will be converted to fiat currency. I envy those who have trusted bitcoin since the beginning but this person is really not lucky because of what happened to him.

This indicates that this system has not been perfected. There are many more pitfalls in it. At me too 2 years ago the partner has lost 32 bitcoins, the truth, because of moshchenikov. And the most offensive is that nothing can be done.

Ouch? That is really sucks and very painful moment. Losing 103 bitcoin is a huge amount and even I imagine in his shoe,
I will feel upset and devastated. The depression will conquer me and will become afraid to invest again since a huge amount of money has been gone.

That is a real shame, I think we can say we all feel for the guy. Especially as people like him who started using it so early were helpful to getting bitcoin to were it is now. It's a hard lesson to learn but I hope he didn't give up on crypto entirely.

I wish he took it as soon as possible but that was almost impossible.
I myself lost a bit of bitcoin when exchanging anonymously because I forgot to back up my passwords. I think most of us make mistakes that make us pay, just not up to 103 bitcoin.

This is the greatest disappointment ever! I don't know what will have happened to me if I'm this person. However,  lot of crypto assets got loss due to death, lost of private key, and so on but can address?
