Bounty programs are asking bounty hunters to do KYC before they are paid for work done . What do you think of this development.

I've been participated on bounty campaigns that requires KYC on their investors but I just asked the ICO team if they also require the same thing on their bounty campaign participants but they said "No, not required". Cedex and a couple of ICOs aren't requiring KYC on their bounty participants, but only initial coin offering investors and nothing more.
KYC is an extension option for ICO project follow the rule from the government, especially SEC. Do you know a lot of project close by SEC just becasue without KYC? Bounty campaign is also a part of ICO projects. Therefore, KYC is neccessary for the ICO project really want to evade trouble.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I totally disagree with this, but what can we really do to this? Investors spend money just to get the token of the ICO and we are doing our work without any money involve, so we cant do anything but to follow they want but what i see in the future will be a long wait to have the payment allotted for the bounties, and if the ICO don't allow US citizen to join the  ICO then they cant do BOUNTY too as they need to do KYC.

i did KYC, with loyalcoin and caviar social media bounties.

We all get to crypto because of anonymity. Then why are we giving this up?

I don't think this is a good moved for ICO to ask for their bounty hunters information. I'm totally against it, and this is not a good development especially for all of us.

I'm not a airdrop guy though, never join any up to this time, and with this recent development, I would continue not to participate in any one of them.

I agree with you buddy.  I don't even like it one bit that KYC thing.
Should this continue, I will no longer participate in airdrops. We should maintain anonymity in this platform and space, after all, it is the best thing that these platform offers.

I meet more and more projects that require not only KYC, but also a fee for the translation of tokens. Projects collect millions of dollars, but GAZ does not. Investors should think well before investing in such projects!!!

I dont think its safe to just give out your personal information into this kind of bounty campaign because they can use it on some fishy transaction and can use your identity on bad ways.

I love bounty, it is generally best that we could give cryptocurrency because it is the opportunity to earn from scratch

Oh my ... ha-ha, you're just a typical "Im-here-for-technology" Bitcoiner
That's the main point I hate in cryptocurrency: people that uses it for trades only. Its even worst than a scam projects

last year majority of bounty campaigns are not requiring kyc then in the present it is a thing now to claim your tokens? that's totally ridiculous, failure to announce this stuff in the beginning of the campaign must be punished, this must disclose before the start of the campaign, giving out your information with kyc docs?  why the requirement of ids? two birds in one stone for the scammers! funds and identity theft, who started this kyc for bounties?

I hear that some companies are straight-up necessitated to have KYC documents))
What is the point of cryptocurrencies if nothing is anonymous anymore?)) That is a tough question for you guys to answer)) Does anyone has an answer anyway?) I do not think so

I think in the near future it will be a prerequisite ...
KYC  - help to reduce the number of multi-accounts and bots in bounty programs.
But I believe that the KYC  should be only after the end of the company's bounty ... And only after that they will prove that their ICO is not SCAM.
I do not want my personal data to fall into the hands of scammers! Embarrassed

I do not think it is necessary but this is the regulation of bounty organizers to reduce multi account and fraud against campaign.

I agree with you, but I also think that KYC requirement has to do with checking out that bounty hunters are not US residents, because we all know that most bounties do not allow people from US to participate, as well as investing in ICOs. On the other hand, I think they should be conducting that the other way and not by checking out our personal data. We could submit something else, where it would be apparent that we are not for the US. I don't know, maybe our scanned bill for electricity, where our address can be clearly seen and we could omit the name and surname perhaps. But how would they know that this is our bill then? I also see many bounties popping up where they require your selfie along with ID so they can assure the ID is yours.

Maybe a solution to this would be a KYC platform, where we would submit our documents only once and then verified ICO companies would have an access to them. But in order for me to do that, ICO companies should also provide their documents for me to see. It should be mutual. Unfortunately, I don't see this happening anytime soon, because some people will hand over their documents without even thinking about the possible consequences for a couple of bucks. Especially people from third world countries, where $ is worth a lot more.

I think it's an inevitable price to pay for fighting fakes and bots. Look at most of the bounties going on in recent months. Bots are getting bigger, botnet owners are getting smarter and looking for loopholes. Previously, they wasn't worried and pointed out 1 wallet. Now under each of your bot. Previously, they were taken from the wallets of bots on one and so they can be caught. now transferred to the stock exchange and accumulate there. So I'm only in favor of introducing KYC to bounty hunters.

This could be argued from both sides.. 1 that they dont have the right to ask for KYC 2 that they need KYC to ensure it is a real person doing the bounty

They use kyc because they want to know if the person is really doing their job. And i think this is also a good thing to know the bounty hunter, but the other side this is bad because we give our personal information. I think kyc will not be a requirement.

I like this idea. I'm of the opinion there are a lot of bounty hunters gaming the system with multiple accounts and kyc reduces this.

I think they do that to recognize anyone who joins in the project to avoid a robot or multy account account that will harm other bounty participants

I am not joining any bounty that requires KYC and I would accuse of scam any bounty that tries to make me do a KYC after I do the campaign for them. Bounty is a support not an investment and there is no way it can be used for money laundering or any illegal activity.
