It is hard to tell, and until you get reward is hard to prove that ICO is not a scam..
and afterwards, it could diminish in value, not scaming, but useless effort..

I think it's better to investigate the whitepaper of the project before you make any decisions.

I am a newbie just trying to grow on this platform. Within a week of participating in altcoin bounties, 2 bounties I participated in have been reported as Scammers. I get a lot of reads on my articles and Social media pages. I cannot keep encouraging people to invest in these altcoins if they would eventually get scammed. How can new bounty hunters like myself differentiate between a genuine bounty and scammers bounty?

You cannot identify if the ICO is a scam or not, but for me if you are going to find bounties for investment or only to join bounties, try to find legit bounty managers so that is it legit and for sure you will get your tokens or your payment to your work. And also research a bit to the project and check the platform, the teams, the whitepaper.

There is minimal risk in bounty, if you lose you won't lose money but only time and effort.
If you can join a good bounty and receive a good payout, this would give you a chance to earn good money like investors do if you know how to hold.

Most of the time, you can find them through the gtihub code, you can watch their quality of coding to judge whether this bounty thread is a scam, this is some of my experience, generally choose a good bounty manager is the best way.

if you are not late to realize that a project will lead to a scam then I suggest you to leave the bounty.
but if you are late to realize and you have been deceived then immediately report to the moderator

Choosing legit ICO is very hard not only to find out if the ICO is a scam but to ensure that the ICO is a promising investments that your time, money and effort will not be wasted because many investors will pour their money on this ICO in which it will result of sure gaining in the end. To choose a good ICO you should review their specific details in their website, that they are very active promoting in media campaigns like FB, Twitter and telegram to welcome questions, inquiries and even to face undervalue statements

Yes a good way to differentiate ICO and a good scam is the amount of funds that have been raised in pre-sales. You know most ICOs do not post this info or do not have pre-sales. Think twice before you join make research about a bounty if it is false or legitimate.

I think it's almost impossible to get around the deceivers side, because they have a lot in our time,do not worry if you have been deceived, just try to forget about it and join another project

I think that you need to continue to work because there is no point just complaining. I try to be more careful in choosing campaigns and projects. It seems to me that this is the only solution.

How are good bounty?
- Its not Scam project this you have to learn through the community
- The rules of the bounty must be easy to do
- The distribution bonus of the project is not too much
- The community of the project must be large, to ensure the project can achieve softcap

You should make sure to vet the bounties that you are participating in more carefully. There are a lot of scam bounties but you need to understand that there is a way to avoid them, which is by reading up on the project. When you see people talking about do your own research on this forum, they are not just saying so for the skae of talking, they say so because that is the way for you  to avoid scam bounties. Don't give up, there are lots of good ones out there.

Although I have not encountered fake ico bounty, I have participated in several bounty did not pay in the end. Their reason is that their ico failed. This is also frustrating. It is very difficult to find a reliable ico bounty now.

Then you should know about icodrop.
The site's rating is relatively objective, so you can use it as a reference.

I have to agree with you. There are too many scams in the market now.
It was often good experience to join bounty campaign last year.

In some cases, the unmanaged environment is creating some negative point for the crypto community and the blockchain industry. That is "abuse" ico to achieve their own goals. Scam bounties also derive from this abuse. In fact, to find a bounty campaign is high quality and reputation is not easy. It takes a long time to monitor.
