Which are the best competitors to Ethereum, and why do you think so?
Ripple (XRP) already shows the challenge and overcome the volume of Ethereum. However I think XLM, NEO,Waves will be the challenge for ethereum. |

Which are the best competitors to Ethereum, and why do you think so?
(I know on top of my head that Cardano and IOTA try to challenge Ethereum,
although they still haven't proved much from my understanding?)
IOTA is doing great no doubt in that however there are other competitors as well. Paragon, Tron are also there to name a few. |

XRP is the best competitior of Ethereum. XRP is more stable coin than Ethereum. If you see coinmarketcap volume, XRP now on second position by defeating ETH recently.
Does Ripple have the ability to create tokens based on it? I have not heard of such a possibility. I would call the most powerful competitors for Ethereum. This is Stellar and EOS. |

One thing for sure, is that many new technologies and improvements have been coming around the past years from rival projects, to make a stable and secure smart contract platform. If Ethereum's competitors succeed in providing secure and scalable smart contracts before Ethereum does, then ETH's place could be at risk as its rivals would rise in user adoption within the mainstream world. However, I believe that Ethereum's Casper PoS and Sharding improvements are just around the corner, to make it as efficient and secure as possible.

Smiley Best would always be BTC but after than ETC or NEO these are the altcoin which are so tranding now a days. Even day by day BTC cash is also increasing or LTC has just been started but sooner he is also going to compete with ETH.Smiley

I agree that NEO was one of the biggest contender for ETH but not for bitcoin since their intended usage differs from each other. I would also say that waves is one more contender to Ethereum not in terms of price but in terms of creating tokens. All that is needed to create a token using it are 1 waves and of course a little to no knowledge to programming. They are friendly for companies that wanted to create their own crypto without programmers of their own.

There are alot of competitor of ETH in the market but all of them still not possible to replace ETH. In my opinion the best competitor of ETH is ADA and NEO. Both project has strong team member and in the future can be possible to become next Ethereum.

Ethereum can process only 25 tps compared to 2000 tps Tron. In a recent testing platform Zilliga managed to reach a rate of 2828 tps. Also these coin are obe of top 10 coins in the terms of demand , marketcap , price and supply.

I think the answer is riplle because riplle has the same function or role as ethereum and ripple also has many enthusiasts and it will increase as the price of ethereum falls which makes ethereum lose their interest which of course moves to the riplle, but still ethereum also has a great chance to reclaim what is now gone, it's just the time yet

At the moment ETH is very weak and many competitors claim its place. I think that EOS is an excellent coin, which can be a substitute for ETH.

The hype about Ethereum is only for its smart contract. Without it, maybe ETH wouldn't be in the top 20 positions on coinmarketcap.
Look like NEO is a serious competitor to ETH, but as it has been say it is targeted mainly by Asian people, not sure why by the way.

In my opinion, I suppose that there are just one platform can competite with Ethereum in the near future, that is NEO. If Chinese goverment approve Cryptocurrency, Neo will fly to the moon and can overcome Ethereum |

I will say only Ripple (XRP) is the competitiors of Ethereum but XLM has the possibilities in the future. XRP has shown its potentialities, faith and acceptance among the people. XRP is doing their roadmap really fantastic. So XRP is the Best competitor of ETH.

I think NEO can be a competitor, offering deals fairly quickly and quickly. This can happen because if a lot of analysis shows that EOS has a more advanced and better system from ethereum so it could just as this would be fierce competition in encryption. NEO has a sophisticated technology and now its development continues to improve. I am sure from time to time NEO will become Larger and will be Ethereum's harshest competitor.
