in my opinion the best platform that will be an ethereum competitor is cardano, eos, stellar, and maybe neo will also be a good competitor in a few years.

Cardano, EOS and NEO can become the best competitors to Ethereum now, if Ethereum keeps losing value, do not show good movements, i think that Cardano, EOS and NEO can overtake Ethereum oneday in the future.
If you check the charts, then you will find that the coins that you have listed have crashed even more than ETH. Cardano has lost more than 98% of its value from the peak price. That's why I think that Stellar Lumens has the capability to offer competition to ETH. It hasn't fallen that much. |

Ethereum has many competitors, but you don't have to worry that they will go beyond Ethereum. They can't go beyond Ethereum unless Ethereum itself fades. Like Bitcoin, many coins are more convenient to use than Bitcoin, but no coins can transcend Bitcoin.

The two currency that I was holding right now has the potential to be the competitors of Ethereum right now for me that is XRP and EOS. I think it will not took so far to make their purpose to get their success this coming year and to get a better popularity in the community of Cryptocurrency in the investors.

For me, the best competitors of ethereum, are RIPPLE and STELLAR. As you can see this two cryptocurrency very near on the top and ripple takes the number two spot. Which is ethereum place. Right? And stellar also near to ethereum. So i think this two are the best.

While ETH is difficult to overtake because of the development of its network and a large number of tokens at ETH. But if they do not solve the problem of scalability, I think soon competitors will be able to bypass this coin.

Right. I think XPR and EOS are one of the best coins out there. They are popular with investors and they have bright future. As ETH competitors, I am not sure, but they can be included in the list, why not. |

are you serious? waves up to now is still far from ethereum. We can see from the community and the development of their platform, the waves don't much interest by other platforms. I thus see the eos platform is very potential to become competitors of the ethereum. see a lot of new project also cooperated to use eos platform, although this platform was practically new. |

Hm, I am thinking about Stellar... NEO also. Qtum maybe... EOS? Seems dying now, not looking good at all. I bet ethereum has lost its dominating position forever. It will hardly reach the former peaks  |

I think that only those projects that are at the same level with Ethereum can be considered as competitors. There are no such blockchains at the moment. There are a large number of potential competitors, but none of them have come close to Ethereum very closely. At the moment I see a lot of marketing, but not much work. Maybe next year the situation will change, but not now. |

Ripple can compete with Ethereum only when we mean the market capitalization. When we speak about the future of these currencies, for me, ETH is in the first place. NEO can compete with it in future. |
