Which are the best competitors to Ethereum, and why do you think so?

(I know on top of my head that Cardano and IOTA try to challenge Ethereum,
although they still haven't proved much from my understanding?)

Cardano  or iota challenge eth? Is there a single project running on either project?

Currently eos and neo are leading the way as far as competition to eth but both have some major flaws.  Eos technically isn't even a blockchain, is very centralized and has lied about tps capabilities.

Neo is a blockchain but again is completely centralized and
Also doesn't offer real scalability.

My favorite platform project is SYSCOIN. it's silently building the best platform out there. There are currently multiple projects building on syscoin. Some major real world businesses are turning to syscoin go enhance their business model. Not just start up companies looking to raise millions in good but legit companies. The first company that chose to use syscoin is coinpaykents. They are the biggest crypto payment processor out there. Been around since 2013. They are very experienced in the crypto space. Could have chosen any platform to build on. They Chose syscoin for it's security, scalability, and INSTANT transactions.

Syscoin has been around since 2014. They got a massive team,  they are a publically traded company with major funding backing them. Silently the have built an amazing product. They didn't raise millions or billions in an ico, they don't spend all their money of marketing and type. They Chose to spend it on development. They are years ahead of most projects.

Take a look!!

Everyone was looking forward to see what Eos was bringing on board but their launch came out a little messy and people lost interest. My best pick for now Cardano if they can deliver all the beautiful ideas they have on their whitepaper, they will compete well with eth. Also Ae is worth looking into.

However I am also not sure even bitcoin ethereum even rivals as both have become one unity, ethereum also can not compete with bitcoin all there is every stage of each coin. for other altcoin may have more price but not as good as ethereum and the team of developers deeply understand for the future will be how.

My recommendation for the best competitor ethereum is EOS and NEO, these two coins are now widely known and certainly beneficial if you can invest in both coins

If compare about the security of system and amount of supporters and programmer are supporting for Ethereum, I think there are not any competitors that can overcome Ethereum

Right now I don't perceive any opposition with ETH, as none of the undertakings have such achievement and the primary concern is the interest like the ETH. Later on, maybe somebody will endeavor to contend with ETH, yet we realize that the designers of ETH don't see it set up and in a year we will watch the ETH organize in a totally extraordinary pretense, however more on this later

For me the most challenging Altcoins for ETH is XRP and BCH as they have already threaten ETH for many times before for the number 1 altcoins spot but maybe they need more progress to successfully supersede ETH in which this is possible specially that Mr.Vitalik has no update progress at the moment while there are many new development in favor of XRP and BCH.

I think the best competitor for Ethereum is Neo and Stellar, both of them have a good platform and many ICO already using platform from Neo and Stellar and I think more and more projects will use their platforms in the future.

In my opinion, the biggest and most dangerous competitor to ETH at this time is probably the ripple. In a couple of months this ripple has been surpassing ETH many times. With this situation if ETH does not rise very well Can ripple take the position of ETH.

Yes, after all, NEO is the strongest competitor in ETH, I think next year NEO and ETH may be the two coin that are being appreciated and maybe NEO will overtake ETH. I believe in this prediction and I am buying NEO to hold

In my opinion, NEO is the toughest competitor Ethereum has to face.
I am sure if Neo is one of the good coins and now Neo is starting to increase its sales.
The more Neo the more people are interested in Neo so it does not rule out if one day Neo will defeat Ethereum.
At the moment the price of Ethereum is getting lower and I only predict if Ethereum will be defeated by Neo someday.

I think EOS and NEO have a good chances, if their blockchain network will start work with all their promises. And I want to have them all turned out. It is only two real competitor to ETH.

I think wave coin is a considerable competitor in the calculation, because the project and the existing feature in the coin wave is a feature improvement that is in ethereum

I think there aren't that good altcoins at the moment, the best competitor could be Digibyte, it needs more promotion but most of the altcoins have been dropping like crazy and some of the even lost any progress archieved.

Many people said ICON is the first competitors after the Ethereum. The sequence will bitcoin, ethereum and ICON. But that's all is prediction, no one knows what will happen in future.

Yes, if it's a competition that affects something. In fact, each coin is original and does not interfere with the specifics of the other. That is, Ethereum does not affect bitcoin in any way, and the other altcoins do not affect Ethereum in any way.

Agree. Cardano is a strong competitor of Ethereum because it's active in development and innovation. In contrast to other platforms which are overhyped, Cardano has managed to stay on the roadmap delivering features as promised. Due to its consensus algorithm, it will be capable of processing a large magnitude of TPS in contrast to Ethereum in its current state. However, it's believed that Ethereum will also improve over time to handle large TPS for smart contracts. Therefore, both ADA and ETH will stay head-to-head in the game.

In any case, today many users invest in such promising projects as Stellar, Neo, which are very good competitors of ethereum. In addition, you can also call the waves, but recently their relevance has somewhat decreased.

Indeed this is an ethereum altcoin a very potential. even arguably the most potential. However, this is now an awful lot of competitors to ethereum. One of the most severe is EOS.
