Here we are at the beginning of September.

BFL has claimed they will have "most" of their backorders cleared by the end of September.

Any sign of them changing their story or is this the latest lie estimation?

Here are the stats, assuming they are still taking Pre-Orders as of today:

75 198 days of Jalapenos to ship  [Updated for Joshs 9/11/13 New Date of April 30th 2013]
175 299 Days of Little Singles   [Updated for Joshs 9/11/13 New Date of April 30th 2013]
257 404 days of Singles   [Updated for Joshs 9/11/13 New Date of April 30th 2013]
311430 days of Mini-rig orders.   [Updated for Joshs 9/11/13 New Date of April 30th 2013]

So that's a reduction of 513 "order days per capita" that he has reduced the goal by.

Josh has claimed that when they ship does not matter, because they are the only ones shipping in any volume so ultimately they are controlling the rate that difficulty increases.

To this Avalon, Bitfury and Asic Miner have said......... HUH?

Timer removed. End time: 2013-09-30+23:59:59UTC

Will they make it?

With less than two weeks to go I am calling this.....

Need a CLOCK.

Clock added (as if they have a prayer)
"55 employees" and they can't get a day or two of orders out the door a day.

Remember Josh saying "It takes 4 minutes to assemble a unit."

If you had 50 employees and they could each assemble a unit every 5 minutes.... that's about 100 units a day for each employee.

There should be 4000 units a day going out the door. There isn't a tenth of that. When Josh said 4 minutes, he meant 40 minutes!  (hey who has the screwdriver?!?! I can't find the power cords!! We are out of tape!)

Since August's over now, they've completed "Tape out August 2013" for Monarch, right?

We have one more of the second 500MR to ship for June and 3 more of the 1st July MR to ship.

as it compares to the previous days update:

Jalapenos: Feb 12, 2013

Little Singles: Oct. 28, 2012

MiniRigs: for June 26 (2nd 500gh/s unit) and July 28 for 1st 500 gh/s

Why do we need a countdown? They cannot accomplish the deadline no matter what they do. I am sure a new date will be announced to complete the backlog, maybe not as they clearly don't give two shits about their customers or the law. You get your gear when they feel like sending it, only the legal system or Govt. can make them do otherwise. At this point, I have zero sympathy for any person that places new orders with this company and deserve whatever BFL does to them. My two fucks that was once given, is now placed back in my pocket.

It's funny how people still prefer the units over their money back. I suggest some math and taking a look at the difficulty development over the past months as a comparison.

Its funny how people still want force others to simply give up mining...  what do you know how much mining costs other people have??  Have you a time machine so you can be sure that singles dont mine their 9.5BTC refund??

I was told so many times that in June 2011 everyone should simply buy BTC and not mining gear... I bought a rig for 1100€.. at that time this amount had got me 50 BTC.. I mined nearly 600 with it.. so i dont listen to anyone who dont know a shit about my running costs and whats my goal in mining...

The calculator over at http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/, while informative, is vastly overrated.  The difficulty will start tapering off around January, not scream up to the insane levels thys currently show.  While 1 billion difficulty is possible, 30 billion in 12 months is like expecting BTC to hit $1,000,000.

That is bizarre that people would say that. That was one of the most profitable periods of mining when BTC spiked above $20 in value. There would be no math available that could demonstrate that a rig would not earn substantial sums of BTC.

You might be thinking of November of 2011, when the price dropped below $3. In that case, investing in new rigs or even running them was not profitable for some. It would be easy to demonstrate that running a rig for $3 worth of electricity to generate 1 BTC worth less than $3 was not a good idea. During that period, I turned off my GPUs and simply bought the same BTC I would have generated (but paid a bit less for it). Yay for $0.32 kWh Sad

Money back? This is BFL. I requested my refund in Jan 2013. They ignored my request but delivered a Single SC about two weeks ago. No chance that I will ever see ROI with this machine. I operate it as one of the few bitcoin miners to support the network.

So you should buy mining equipment that is a generation old, because you have cheap electricity. Makes sense.. or not, Im not trying to put anyone off from mining here. I'd just like to see people making informed decisions based on promises that are kept.
