Will, I think you just lost.  I would never have taken that bet at that definition.  I have a feeling once the Jalapenos hit the price change, none will be shipped until all product lines hit the price change.

Yeah that would be just like BFL

What is this price change you're mentioning? Or is that an assumption on your part based on new developments from new entrants to a now crowded field?

also original post:

https://forums.butterflylabs.com/blogs/bfl_jody/248-saturday-comments-product-line.html

I read this that there will continue to be four product lines and they will ship pretty much independently of each other, excepting that some product types share board types (e.g. both the Single and the Minirig use longboards) - so basically when all the Jalepenos have shipped, I think they'll start shipping the 5 GH miners - especially since they are the only ones that use the shortboard (small case).

But we'll see.  I enjoy a good wager.

Thanks!

I was aware of that previous price adjustment. I agree that some sort of price adjustment is probably past due. I'm unsure when that adjustment will take place & how that'll effect their backlog.

Don't you feel bad for the guy that said:
My question: Please tell me I will receive the 60GH model for the price that was paid as I see you have changed your pricing model and I am almost down to my last couple of dollars but risked it all with your company.

I noticed that. WTF are you doing spending critical money on Bitcoin or miners? Can we please add this disclaimer to every single fricken' pre-order, not just Group Buys?

** By agreeing to participate in this Pre-order or Group Buy, you agree to NOT use your money that was primarily meant for: food, clothing, rent/mortgage, short term emergency funds, car payments, insurance, 401(k), IRAs, or children's college funds. These are considered HIGH RISK purchases of hardware, with funds tied up for weeks, and are NOT meant for those trying to "get rich quick." **

I'm just a realist... anyone commenting on how much of their money they spent and how little they have left are normally looking for sympathy.  I agree with DZ... what kind of person spends virtually all their money on anything?  99 times out of 100 the answer is homeless.  This person has to have 1) internet access 2) a computer 3) a place to plug both computer and miner in.  They don't sounds homeless... so...

1) Teens and people in their early 20's.
2) People who haven't learned how to budget.

I bet there's a whole lot of people out there who blow all of their money on single purchases.  Not everyone is an adult with solid understanding of finances and budgeting.

I would be more concerned about the 14 day countdown until Sonny's parole ends.

I'll have the pleasure of meeting him on the 10th.

Raspberry.

Do tell

I will be visiting Camp BFL on the 10th of September thanks to Josh's invite.

I would like to witness this.

Be safe, #deadofnightbarnwoodthief.

I've been witnessing this phenomenon for years. First, at the casinos, where folks on food stamps sell them for 70-80% on the dollar, to stick all the money in the slot machine trying to hit the big one. Now, I witness it first-hand at the convenience stores where they purchase a slew of instant lottery tickets and take a seat to scratch them off. Any winners, they trade them in more cards until there'll broke. In Sandwich, there are two business that have them new online lottery slot machines in place, and both have their six machines tied up all day till closing, with customers bitching at one another wanting them to get off so they can play, all within earshot of the customers that don't play the machines.

My two nephews, along with their Goth cronies, spend every penny they make on drugs, cigarettes, fast food, and gas for the car, enabling them to cruise at night to amass more stuff to be converted to cash so that they can start the entire process over again. They lie about why they're in dire straits so that they have a place to crash and shower and rip off even those who gave them that helping hand.

Look personally I have had a penchant for Cocaine and hookers myself on ocassion in times gone past

( que ....reminiscing music "Ahh Good Times " )

Having said that once the Porno sex and all the coke has gone ...its off to work i go like all good slaves to the machine... Sad

Difference btw kids of today & what we did in our youth was that they are looking for somebody ELSE to buy the coke & hookers ...hopefully they will learn that YOU are personally responsable for buying your own coke and hookers..

There are no FREE coke and hookers in life

Unless you are BFL then well its FREE COKE & HOOKERS every day of the week @ camp BFL (Blow&Fucking&Looting) ... Cool

Lets get a second clock for this.
They need to put this at the top of every Bitcoin forum page.

Well 72 more hours has passed since BFLs last update.

In those 72 hours they shipped almost no Jalapenos. Absolutely no Little Singles,
4 days of Singles, and 5 days of Mini-Rigs

Tuesday, September 3, 2013 Shipping Update
by BFL_Jody  , 09-03-2013 at 09:24 PM
Jalapenos 4.5 and 5 gh/s: Feb 12-14, 2013 very few shipped

Little Singles 30 and 25 gh/s: Nov. 5, 2012 none shipped

Singles 60 and 50 gh/s: July 27, 2012 pay date Many Singles shipped

MiniRigs: All June orders (2nd 500gh/s unit), all July orders 1st 500 gh/s
August 1st for 1st 500 g/s units

A little more than 26 days to go for their 55 employees utilizing the sea of parts that were supposed to arrive to knock out 9-13 months (depending on what you believe based on Joshs comments) of undelivered orders.

I wonder if there was one mini-rig ordered on August 1st, or zero.  Cheesy

I can't even begin to imagine how p1ssed I'd be if I ponied up $32k for 1.5Th of gear that supposedly consumes 1500w on August 1, 2012 and THIRTEEN MONTHS + 2 days later the bozos I paid were just getting around to shipping me 500Gh/s that consumes 2200w. Let's hope that person didn't pay in BTCs.

Oh Dem Bozos who ordered won't be seeing the 3300+ BTC spent "preordering". Well not from running that hardware anyway.
