BFL just won advertising on forums auction....Makes me sick to even see them advertise.  Some poor new guy will get scammed from it.

I have actually seen this happen.  A month or so ago I got a phone call from a guy who had just gotten married and who had recently placed orders with BFL hoping to fund the nest egg for the union with BFL gear.

I had a bit of a "Come To Jesus Meeting" with him and he was able to get his Paypal refunded but could do nothing about the wire transfer and the BTC transactions.

He was quite literally devasted along with his new wife who is now on his ass for allowing himself to be scammed.

Hell of a way to start a marriage, eh?

My $.02.

Smiley

Feel sorry for the guy. No matter how many threads we put up preaching the gospel of "Don't get scammed by these unholy fothermuckers!" the ads will snag a few suckers every time.

lol

Their FPGA era actually wasn't too bad.  There are just too many clowns in the car now.

Dose anyone have the email of the pay-pal case worker that is handling BFL refunds, I emailed the links for the redit and one other article but never got a response.

I think that was done a while ago from memory. Either that or it was a Signature changing protest

Pretty sad they would be allowed to advertise..

The forum adminstrator is still quite young, and has not fully grasped the fundamental opposition of ancap philosophy to fraud.

They still have 45 days of shipping on each product line,
only moving 3 days per line per day.

Might clear April in 3 more weeks, so the "2 weeks or so" will end up being 5 weeks.

That's pretty good for the Monkey crew considering 2 weeks usually equals 5 months.

What is absolutely staggering to me is we are talking about them clearing April 2013 orders!!! Not getting caught up, when they make this milestone then they will be 6 MONTHS BEHIND STILL!!

Sadly those with order numbers of 40,50,60,000

When the package comes just throw it away, it will be Feb 2014 and you won't mine a single coin.

So sad.

There. I've changed my sig.

Butterfly Labs has a different interpretation of the FTC Mail Order Rule.  You do not have a refund option with the BFL Monarch no matter how late they ship.

After 28 nm will come sub-angstrom.  Hey I swear we shipped it to you, it's just too small to see.

Now that one really made me laugh!

Wink

You'll really be in stitches once you see the Scarlet Letter:  Å.

Is your two months on probation up soon  Huh  Cheesy

Seriously, am not on any probation period nor took any bribes, simply scaled back the vitriol attacks.
Why?  What's changed at BFL?

You mean the one that has a circuit board prototype with no traces linking the components?

BFL is still selling their 65nm hardware.

With their shipping at 6 1/2 months behind.....

A 5gh Jalapeno purchased today, will be delivered in March 2014 with a return of BTC0.02151 for the lifetime of the device (6 weeks) before it starts to cost $1 a month.

They are still happy to take your money which shows what criminals they are.

You know, I really hate to defend BFL ... but if you look closely, the red solder mask hides the traces pretty well.  But down at the bottom, by the Altera Cyclone IV FPGA, there's a trace going to a clock (just above the 1x PCIe fingers).  That's just the easiest to see I think, there appear to be others, but it's hard to distinguish from the JPEG artifacts.

Still waiting for my BTC paid for Single ... Sad

Oh give Josh a break. From Jody's last blog entry:
"March is heavily populated with orders. We are shipping a lot even though we are moving slowly through the days."

How could Josh possibly have foreseen that?
