I agree with you. Sites with ICO ratings must be just first step, not final, when you choosing an ICO.

I do not believe to the ICO ratings even the ICO who are number 1 possible become failure in the future. But they have quiet ICO noy on the top 10 but they great doing well. I only believe to the ICO who are unique purposes and a lot of benefits if I invest the project. It not means if the ICO is on the top 10 or even top 1 it is good to invest sometimes better to invest who do you think it's better.

I had tables with ratings and comments from different gurus. But in fact, with a table with twenty ico there are only two that are not scam. You must look at the team yourself and what kind of product the project offers.

I see many Websites that provide ratings for ongoing ICOs or for the future. Examples such as the ICObench.com Website, ICOrating.com and others.

Which is my question whether you believe in the rating provided by the website. Seeing many ICO's do not match what they value. Many ICOs are arguably good ratings but when the token sales of the project only reach softcap. And there are projects that I see have a fairly mediocre rating but their token sales reach hardcap. I took the example of Lalaworld on ICObench.com they get Rating 3.7 but their token is sold out.

So let's discuss ICO Rating!

I like icobench.com and icoguide.com ratings there scores are always good. yeap sometimes, there might be situations when tokens are sold but rates are low, then we should assess whether the project will work. Very often projects with sold tokens are not also working. So rating is still important.

The ICO ratings on that websites is just like only an opinion of the reviewer of the projects on icobench, icoratings etc. You will know the real ratings by yourself if you research diligently to know exactly about their project and who are the people behind it.

ICO ratings is a good extra tool to analyze the project, but you shouldn't make your decision to invest or not just on this base - there are too many other factors you should consider. Personally, I think ICO ratings are mostly unbiased and show the real value of the project.

I don't really trust the rating of ICO. Although many have the good rating but not in terms of their sales. so it's just as an additional course if for me. the product and the team will determine whether the ICO could not succeed and, if what is done and the results are good then, by all means, ICO will be successful and have a lot of funds.

some of the reviews and ratings are fake because they are accepting payments for better reviews.
some group are giving a low rating on ICO and need to pay for them to give a better rating.

I do not believe ICO rating, but I will use ICO rating as a reference. If I am optimistic about a project, then I will observe the introduction of it and I will go to multiple rating sites to observe the rating of this project! Finally make a decision whether to buy!

To me many of those icoratings are scams, the only iconic rating website I trust is icodrops , I believe that the most widely accepted rating website for now,

Checking ICO ratings provides a speedy guide to joining ICOs. But as I have observed this does not necessarily equates that the ICO will be succesful after. I think there are other factors in ICO that review sites does not consider. So I think it is important that you do more research and analysis about the project.
