Hey Maxmint, could you please remove my buy offer of 50 MSC for 6 BTC? Thanks.
Also, just an FYI for the thread, I just bought 3 MSC from StarenseN without using escrow, and everything went smoothly. I manually looked at everything and it checked out, plus it showed up as valid on mastercoin-explorer. The transaction was fast and he immediately posted all the details. Would do business again.

Edit: I'm trying out buymastercoin.com for a 1 MSC buy and will report back as soon as it's through.
Edit2: I'm blind - I did not contact them first as it says on the site and there have been NO MSC received for the 0.1695BTC that I sent to their payment address. I'll keep you guys posted when/if this is resolved!
Update3: After contacting them via the contact form twice, I still have NO REACTION. No Email confirm, no MSC, no refund. Can anyone vouch for this site or is it a scam? I'm pretty sure you'll receive your Mastercoins. I did some escrows for them and they were always reliable. They might just be offline right now. Hey Maxmint, could you please remove my buy offer of 50 MSC for 6 BTC? Thanks.

Another FYI for the thread, because I got a little confused on this last night...if you are trying to manually verify a transaction, and you are looking to make sure the person actually has the mastercoins, the last accepted block that counted towards the initial giveaway was block 255365. I got a little confused on this because the white paper says before August 31st, but the person may have legitimately sent BTCs to the Exodus address on August 31st as that block was received just after midnight in the wee hours of 09/01. https://blockchain.info/block/0000000000000039712afaa3551c4ad26842bc2848ac897d1375459a71876073 |

Lighten up Francis. besides, if you don't like my garbage - just use the mechanical ignore feature if your brain is too feeble to handle that function automatically like most people. Sigh. Sadly, I did not make this a self-moderated thread. Soon, we'll have the distributed exchange and I'll lock this thing forever  It's important to have some buy orders available for people who decide they want to sell. This gives us some resistance to sudden downward moves. I hope none of you are operating under the assumption that MSC values will only ever go up. I don't think anybody is more bullish than me, but I won't be surprised to see 90% pullbacks on the way up, like when bitcoin crashed from over $30 to $2 in 2011. That kind of price action shakes out the weak hands, but you have to have a strong stomach to hold your coins through something like that (I did). Everybody can see now that holding (or better still, buying) in that crash would have been an amazing investment. It wasn't so clear when it happened though. It went down, and it stayed down for a long time. If you don't think something like that can happen to Mastercoin, you're fooling yourself. (I don't intend to crash the market, but I can't control other people). |
