I suggest to halt trading because of the current shitstorm going on, constructed from competitors. Or at least have the escrows make a "security statement" to not further scare away newcomers.

For anyone not following r/bitcoin. Someone just made it on top with a "Mastercoin is a joke" thread spreading FUD because he found out that some mastercoin implementations started to experiment with the decentralised exchange features already. He shows an address where 4 sites show 4 different balances. I wouldnt be suprised if it is his own address, however, he is clever and appears as a "concerned user" who just forgot to mention that there is no decentralised exchange feature released yet.

The guy from Colorcoins is jealous and makes silly threads and we are supposed to worry about that? No. He's just jealous of the millions MSC has in funding. That funding is what gives this project a great chance of success. The money is attracting and will attract top developers. Any bugs are just a natural part of the development process and are being worked on as we speak.

Also, this is not a topic for this thread. So mods, please remove this discussion from here, including my post.

While I would have no problem with our posts deleted, I still think this is indeed a topic for this thread. Not so much because it's effect on the market price or on scaring away bitcoiners, but because the shitstorms main argument is that buyers cannot be sure to receive valid mastercoins. This is why I suggest at least a statement from our diligent escrows. I think it would help if they just offer to validate mastercoins as part of the escrow process (as long as the storm lasts).

As BTC goes so much high, a 0.17B MSC actually costs $170, that's too high in dollars!

Actually, 98$ each is high too, that costs nearly 3 LTC, and MSC has yet published formally in exchanges.

I have to comment on your post though:
Dollars are becoming worthless each day that passes... BTC is the way people measure prices these days, especially in the crypto currency world. If MSC will succeed it will worth much more than BTC, so IMHO 0.17 is a very, very low price.
