Cryptocurrencies are decentralized which means these are not backed or controlled by any authority or agency. Therefore it doesn’t needs anyone’s approval to operate in the market. But yes, government can restrict its operation by imposing strict rules and regulations for reducing or completely stopping its use. Government decisions have strong impact on the common people therefore the actions for banning crypto currencies bring a fear in the mind of people which can ultimately kill it. But I don’t think so that killing such a wonderful technology would be a wise decision.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

No matter how many times they kill it, they will  go back to life because it is the new revolution of money. As long as there are Good government like Japanese Government that hates corruption, Cryptocurrency will triumph. There are already enough tax that they collect in every government/country, the only problem is how they use it.

Even the crypto market leaders such as Buterin and Larimer don't understand what the market will be like in a year. Governments  simply feel some kind of concern about crypto. But they do not know what exactly needs to be done to kill crypto. Regulations? Maybe. They don't know.

The article is interesting, I've already heard this opinion before. But notice that not all states act in this way. Transferring the country in this respect is Germany. This week she took a serious step toward cryptography (read the news in Google)

I think that they absolutely can not because blockchain is an independent phenomena which will exist no matter what happens. Of course, they may apply serious pressure on those who use crypto, but still there will be users, I think. There are already such examples in countries which try to block crypto usage.

I think it's impossible. Why should we kill encryption? Encryption is just not regulated. It can be used more than bad. It is like the Internet. There is no support at the beginning. Can we leave the Internet now?
The world government can't do it completely to kill encryption. I think it's better to manage it only if it accepts it.

It is possible of course, if there will be political will of all states, but I am sure that there will not be such will. As a lot of government officials all over the world are also involved in crypto.

I think that most of Governments just was to regulate the crypto to get taxes from it. Just imagine how many money is flowing through their hands and I assume that this the main motive for them to find the way of regulation.

The crypto money world has grown so much that it is now an indispensable part of the economy. If it were not so, would governments have taken precautionary and tax laws to make income from crypto money too?

Every government has all the powers to ban Bitcoin within their country. However, the only possible way of banning is through ban of entire internet just like North Korea. There are some countries, which has already banned Bitcoin other than china. Therefore, this is a normal event on cryptocurrency world. Bitcoin is global; meaning if a country shuts it down cannot kill it. The only way is by regulating the users. As much as the internet is working, Bitcoin will always be around.

Ask the guys sending in passports online to pass KYC.  You think they are going to hold out and fight the power?  The fact that part of our community sends in passports to buy crypto tells you all you need to know.

Yes, even quite easily. They just need to tell all the banks not accepting any crypto exchange and then we will be very limited. For the ones who like the status quo of how things are in the world, this would be very desirable.

The government cannot kill encryption. We can see that China's policy last year was very unfriendly to bitcoin. It even closed bitcoin exchanges. But bitcoin has not been affected.

I think the government can kill the encryption, but I believe it won't do it. If the government wants to kill the encryption completely, then it will let the cryptocurrency grow to the present, now they have to do plus how to give encryption They bring benefits.

I am not sure that the world government prevents the growth of prices for cryptocurrency. It seems to me that this is the fault of speculators.

Government could not kill Crypto. Many countries are ready to use crypto as usual money. Crypto is our future and progressive countries realize it.

just look at the Chinese or Russian government. if in China, the cryptocurrency and ico were allowed and only then they began to be closed or restricted , then in Russia crypto-currencies are still outside the law

They dont want to kill Bitcoin coz they have crypto investments. What they want is to make crypto collapse so they can buy a lot.  They could not do this as people doesn't want to giveup their coins. So they send FUD to make it possible.

"Regardless, just because South Korea, China, the US and other countries can crush Bitcoin by issuing new regulations and influencing cryptocurrency prices, it doesn’t mean they can kill it".  The above quote is from the research information I got when I was trying to find out why world government is fighting crypto. Please read the full text here: https://www.ccn.com/fighting-bitcoin-cryptocurrency-trading-threat-government-policies/ and make your own contributions. It will help cool the nerves from the crypto dip we are experiencing recently. Happy reading. Thanks
I think that each government in local area can deal with crypto on the level of local area. Scince we are not having a worldwide united government - they cannot kill crypto on that level.
