This is definitely some food for thought! Thank you guys for a very interesting and useful discussion and I think it's very true that we all need to keep a close guard on our identity documents because you never know where they will end up in the future.

Sending KYC with the fake ID is very not fair. however, I don't know what make them do this. I guess that they may have some accounts or live on the forbidden countries to invest in the ICO. that is why they prefer to send the fake ID. But I also believe that the team or developer has their best system to avoid this.

if you have a lot of funds on the exchange better use the real personal data. if your account is problematic it will be easier for recovery. this advice only, maybe a bit risky but it's good for me.

In fact, it is difficult to give an unambiguous answer here. After all, there are advantages and disadvantages. But I believe that still KYC is still necessary for the crypto market, so that there are no problems with multi-user accounts.

I just was brought up to speed on groups of people sending in fake/Photoshopped ID's by scanning public records to defeat the KYC process and it seemingly is very easy to do. It appears that many people sent in fake documentation to the Bob's and Polymath KYC and had no hassles. How do these companies verify people if all they have to go on is public information? Did they even really check the ID's or were they simply collected the data? How rampant do you think this is? How many of us are complete fools for turning in our documents when others simply faked it. Now they have our data and the people who faked it are still secure.
NOT FAIR.
That's why we need a solid verification platform like CIVIC and VELIX ID to protect our own document. There is a higher probability that if we send real documents, it will be abused. But this is the gamble for our identity and investment. Highway of uncertainty. This forum is full of smart people who could make a change regarding this scenario. Any suggestion or start-up that solves this problem would be awesome.

In my opinion it's not fair to receive a reward for someone else's fake documents. Someone should check it out, otherwise the other participants are in an unpleasant situation.

I think that it's really not very pleasant to send your passport data into the hands of unknown people, but they can not do anything in fact, because only you can confirm your data.

I'm amazed there is all these KYC strings around here with individuals whining. The arrangement is so basic it harms. How is a partnership going to check the legitimacy of each human on earth. LOL You folks are fools if your sending in genuine travel permits. I thought you all were playing. Yowser. No big surprise its so natural to make $$ in crypto. The general population that are playing may not be the most astute. Do you know how damn hazardous it is to send in a genuine identification to these piss subterranean insect ICO's? In the event that your information isn't sheltered at the best keeping money organization and companies on the planet why in the damnation would you send your international ID to an organization worth well nothing at the point your sending it in. The following little Jihadist is prob going to drop your international ID at the scene.
Get Ubuntu (linux) all the altering apparatuses are free.

In this case, the central problem is the centralized process of KYC, weak security. But I still support such changes to avoid fraud and multi-user accounts.

I think it's a very high risk because I'm sure someday will make you lose because it has lied to your own identity and usually it looks very original or fake will definitely look.

The simplest and most correct solution is to send a photo with a nickname of the BTT and the current date. As far as I know this method is actively used in the passage of the KYC.

This really is a problem from the start. We're here and we want to be anonymous, and bounty campaigns requiring KYC are just to hassle and dangerous. I thought it's better to leave the campaign than sending, now you can send in fake ids? Isn't that punishable by law?

Personally, I absolutely do not have problems with identity cards when working with KYC. It seems to me that people with several accounts are against this approach.

Most of KYC's require not only scans of documents, but photo of your face with the document and sheet of paper with the name of the project and date. I could not imagine, how it is possible to scam this KYC.

Now kyc only checks the data you provide, whether it violates the rules, but rarely checks the authenticity of the data. So now kyc is just superficial work, and can't really prevent deception and crime.

If you are not a fraud, then you need not be afraid of this system. After all, it protects the interests of users and themselves ICO, protecting against multi-user accounts.

this is a dubious issue, as likely numerous individuals contemplated it. in any case, then again, it will rapidly turn out to be clear, furthermore it is important to do selfie. be that as it may, this method is for the most part not sheltered, on the grounds that you can utilize your information for criminal purposes

If you set yourself such a goal, in any case, get what you want, any system has its drawbacks, but the most important question. Where do they then poison these documents? Who then uses them.

although i see the benefits for kyc, i would not participate in it anyway. even if i am not a cheater, i am far too afraid to send my personal data to to someone i didnt know. i have read too often that the data may end up in darknet and i do not want that.

It's the best idea for joining a KYC ICO. You can't risk your private info with every ICOs. You can easily buy some passports and personal info in black market sold by previous ICOs and the market is increasing with more naive users providing these ICOs both with their private info and money. The only problem that can arise is two of the investors providing same bought IDs. But I don't even think the ICO issuers are going to check it as they sells it in bulk.
