Sending in fake ID for KYC

Some projects do not have any way of testing thoroughly.
I used to wonder how so e people usually agree to do kyc, while so many people are declining doing it. Some of them might even ask the team for kyc and that baffles me.
It was later that I discovered that some of them use fake IDs and will not hesitate to go for just any project for kyc, even if is scam.

Can you really blame them? People have gone lengths to ensure they keep carrying out identity thefts all in the name of KYCs. This same information is being sold on the dark Web exposing people to attacks knowing or unknowingly. To be guided against this, people now go as far as, designing fake IDs to ensure they are safe against this issue of theft. This has led to situations where they now have to embrace the option of fake IDs.

Unfortunately once I did mistake of completing KYC for one airdrop (I know that's dumb thing to do), I hope I'll be safe.

The fact is that sending your personal data does not guarantee reward. And I understand people who fake their data and send fake. This is a smart move. We cannot be 100% sure that our data, in the wrong hands, will not cause us any damage.

I believe they no capacity to determine if the ID submitted is legitimate, they just require it as it's part of the procedure but the liability lies on the KYC applicant, if they will send fake ID, there is a risk that they maybe liable in the future, so if you want to have no problem in the future, comply honestly.

But, there is but.... make sure you trust the project your are investing so your real identity will be safe.

I agree and believe that such cheaters need to be detected and eliminated from all further projects. I do not want to share my rewards with somebody that has not confirm his identity. We need to find a way to fix this because people would you it to cheat hunters, ICO investors and all other participants.

I still see no reason anyone should call that a bad action because sending in your real identity information is really bad to be sincere, with all the the scam project out there belive me non of your information sent online is safe, they can easily sell them to scamers. And who do you blame for the actions when you have done several of them

Those who gave their real documents should not be seen as fools, except that the person refuses to look into the project team he is giving his documents to.
I do not just give out my personal details, because i do not use fake ID. This is more reason i am very careful of involving myself in projects that require KYC.

I dont like it to share my identity, most of the project who need some ID verificaton for they KYC. I skip that project, we dont know what they are gonna to do with the information ID.

This is an issue with KYC, apart from sending fake ID most people steal identity cards and pose them as being theirs and most times the projects hardly crosscheck the identity cards to be sure,i think it's best KYC should be scrapped out as it can lead to spreading of false information and fake identity

If project or bounty need KYC, i will consider it, if the result is much i will give it but if only few penny i skip it. And i give my real document until now is fine. Why i give my real document because the requirement need it. If i give fake ID so that's mean i lie not follow the rule and in my religion, that is fraud, sin

It is optional to send your documents or not. ICOs are trying to filter real vs fake investors with applying rules stated by known KYC&AML agencies.

It is not difficult to find documents on the Internet and make them in Photoshop if there is a need, therefore, very often, fake documents are sent to pass through KYC, and this is wrong!

Sending in your real documents, what were you thinking. You can't trust your document with the person on the other end. Take for instance, scam project that required KYC , I mean it is a scam , they didn't just only scam people of their hard earned money but also have access to their document (passport, drivers license). You can't really tell what they can do with it.  Remember, they are scammers.

Lots  of  investors  are always skeptical about the safety of there document and the  privacy of identity,Until there is a global regulations through government policy, members  of the community might not  build trust  in KYC. Regulation is the way out.

and the core problem is because the project requesting for kyc without any prove that they are legit. People also could fall easily for this trick. Project that requires KYC should only be the one that apready being verified by the government.

That's quite a bad idea, but well, we can keep our personal Identity safe and secure at the sametime, can earn more when we use fake ID's but still I prefer to be real in my life.

Actually, these companies do not have any instruments to verify whether you provided a fake ID for KYC or not, so many people abused the system sending someone's documents.

Many companies do not check your documents, so often even fake documents confirm, and some companies are very cautious about this and carefully check every yours document, so this is all at your own peril and risk.

I do think that we will eventually have full KYC for crypto and that it will all be checked properly. The situation at the moment, and how easy it is to fake it, does really demonstrate that even real legitimate ICOs who want KYC info often just do so as a box-ticking exercise in order to comply with the rules.
