Sending in fake ID for KYC

It is really unfair for those who sent their true identity,
I mean they risk their identity to get what they want while the other are just faking it and still anonymous .

I've no idea is the company really check and verify all the ID one by one ? I'm sure that polymath don't have verify KYC document because mr bean passport also approved, but as it's an airdrop program, so don't think too much about that, however I'm always send my own real identity to receive my bountry rewards (check it worth or not), if not I'll get nothing.

every incoming data must be checked to ensure that the data provided is truly valid because if not, then KYC verification seems to be useless because there are many people who can easily edit their data and will make KYC only filled with fake self data
I know that it is difficult and will take a long time because the number of participants and investors is very large but they have no other choice even they do not have to choose because they inevitably have to do it so verification of KYC can be useful

The point of ID here is to verify that it is your right. KYC is needed on the project so that no one can register with many accounts, if there are they will be killed with KYC. and KYC investors are also needed for their identity. the point is KYC is needed here, the important thing is not to be misused by the company.

Such page need to be published for people like use who hardly pass the kyc test, I can remember a lot of projects done and introduced kyc all of sudden and I have no international passport which latter end up failing me with the details I uploaded. If such page can be where we can paid for it and use it.

I haven't joined any project that requires KYC, as i am not comfortable with it and don't want to send my documents to strange people. I have also learned that some people are sending fake ID's to pass KYC. I think it's not the right thing to do. If you are not comfortable in sending your documents then don't join in that project.

I just was brought up to speed on groups of people sending in fake/Photoshopped ID's by scanning public records to defeat the KYC process and it seemingly is very easy to do.  It appears that many people sent in fake documentation to the Bob's and Polymath KYC and had no hassles.  How do these companies verify people if all they have to go on is public information?  Did they even really check the ID's or were they simply collected the data?  How rampant do you think this is?  How many of us are complete fools for turning in our documents when others simply faked it.  Now they have our data and the people who faked it are still secure.

These people are simply fraudsters who forge documents, I would not deal with such at all and would not give the right to participate. But here you will not check everyone, although you can come up with a lot of additional checks.

You cannot blame people these people know the risk of sending their vital information so they upload fake profile, but there are site that requires KYC that you have to do video or upload your video with your documents and specify your username, either I will not go for any kind of KYC.

I think the team can only tell if was a fake id that was sent across if they decided to request all kyc participants to take a selfie with their original personal information document with the day's date ascribed on a sheet in the selfie, otherwise, if no selfie is required they can hardly tell if the doc are fake or not.

That act is just so rampant these days. Some people even boast about it when they hear about KYC. They just wave it aside because they have their means of faking. While th sincere ones who doesn't want to cheat will back out cos they may not have the required documents. Just so unfair.

Well, I think if you send money to your friends then the chance that these documents will be others equal to 0 , so I think forge is certainly possible

No one is locking the balance for the fake KYC. They mainly pass the requirements from my experience. I don't know why ICOs can't catch the fake applicants but they are mainly successful with faek documents.

A funny thing, when we use the identity of others just to get money. In my country this is a form of marginalization. I only appeal to all bounty hunters or investors, never use someone else's ID to make a profit. Because it can harm others.

It is illegal to use someone else's documents for passing KYC and I don't support that investors' decision. Maybe investors are afraid of revealing their identity but using other's documents is not ethical.

iDs can be easily faked in a lot of places from developing countries to developed countries and different people have different type of access to fake ids so this really defeats the purpose of kyc because some people are smart enough to bypass the kyc by submitting fake IDs and in some cases a person can even perform kyc for multiple accounts just by using fake ids and a very good photoshop 2 make himself or herself look different.
I don't see any reason why projects should still be collecting people's personal information for the purpose of kyc because the main goal of cryptocurrencies is to make it user's remain anonymous.

What do you mean? The ICOs collect our documents for selling it on the dark web? I have seen such wholesale thread on the deep web but I never tried to ask from them about the source. It is really dangerous to send documents to dark places.
