I expect we will have to wait for the source, but does anyone know how consensus on the current time is reached in NXT? The mining mechanism seems to rely on everyone being in agreement (as that sets the "difficulty").
Thanks.
Every node thinks its time is the only correct one and refuses to talk to anyone with more than 15 sec difference.

I've had my account unlocked for over 24 hours now, but no transaction indicating any earnings from mining. How will I know if i get any earnings? Should I expect some after 24 hours?
Nxt soft relies on blocks count, not on the clock. It's expected to have 1440 blocks in a day but actually we spent almost 2 days to get to 1441th block (it's the most recent block right now).

Where does it say "You will mine the next block in X time"? I don't see that anywhere.

i upgraded to 0.2.9, but it cannot catch blocks at all !
Delete all *.nxt files and try again. Make sure 88.198.210.245 is not blacklisted and u connected to it.

It helped when I manually synchronized the clock with time.windows.com. Now it's working!

Can anyone explain how do I see and trade the NTX that I should have got from the Genesis block? This might have been answered somewhere in this 84 pages thread, but I would really appreciate if someone could explain or at least point me in the right direction (link?). Thanks!

The client doesn't make sense to me, what if two people use the same passphrase or common words are entered until a match is found... wouldn't that just open up someone else's wallet?

Rep Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=381041If one can not confer upon another a right which he does not himself first possess, by what means does the state derive the right to engage in behaviors from which the public is prohibited?

Source for Nxt has not been released. Some random guy said it was closed source to keep out those who would clone it. Which isn't a very good reason imo. Word on the street is Nxt will be open sourced in January. Until then, you get to take all the risks of running who-knows-what on your machine, complete with wallet-stealing trojan risks.

I will not be surprised if the source code will be published by Satoshi him self... all made in Satoshi style , or I'm the only one who has this feeling?

Is it possible to forge NXT via Raspberry Pi?
How many NXT I need to forge to be profitable?
