Best of lucky finding a manufacturer that can ship you 2.4 Th/s by April.

Bitmain units are all in-stock. Order from them now you'll have it next week.

True. And for just about 600 dollars more, plus the higher power cost. Not saying anything bad about Bitmain. It's actually a pretty good comparison.

Hmm, I want to know why our co-op put in over $20K worth of Bitmine orders in Oct./Nov. well before AMT was their official reseller...

...and we still haven't gotten our Bitmine rigs or updates.  Cry

That's what I keep telling these trolls,  if Bitmine the main manufacturer is delayed, then obviously AMT will be delayed.

The only thing going for AMT is that it is U.S. based and can ship units faster to U.S. customers than Bitmine can.

One other thing, they are not using Bitmine boards, but locally produced ones. The chips, apparently, are not an issue at this point. It is my suspicion that they are still using Technobit's design. I don't know that for certain, but some things Jim said jibe with the description of the board by Marto74. (didn't screw up your name, Martin, no white shirt!) But rather than directly buying them from Bulgaria, they're making them in or around Philly. Should cut the time frame quite a bit once they get up to speed. I've seen at least one report of that board already hashing, so the production issues should be minimal.

First off Loshia, something i've wanted to mention for a while is  how you use the expression "at the wall", which is really "to the wall", and comes from the expression "balls to the wall", which is an expression used to represent acceleration or "full throttle" which was created by pilots who would push the throttle lever (the ball) to the point where it actually touches the panel (the wall). And we know you mean it from a consumption standpoint of course, I just wanted to throw that out there. Say "to the wall".

I think the 600W to 900W quote is a bit unrealistic yes. But I also think your 1.7W is a bit too much. That why i said i'd bet on 1w/ghs nominal and 1.3w overclocked or "to the wall". And yes this will be from the miners AMT ships, not demo's of course.

If you really want to make it interesting we could a .4w over/under 1.1w/ghs spread bet with a parlay for hashrate expectancy. What do you think?

He means he measures it "at the wall" socket using a Watt meter or kill-a-watt meter. Its the usual term, you are the one who is confused.

At the wall just means that is what the psu pulls from the wall socket compared to what the miner pulls from the PSU.

so my English is not native. To make it clear for you i am still taking bets if:

http://mineforeman.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/mining.jpg

They have to make 900W like the picture above. Clarification black power cable which is connected to kilawatt should be cumming from AMT machine

And do belive me AMT is misleading you a lot about actual power consumption assuming their unit is doing 1.2T

I did not mean to offend regarding the literary correction, please don't take offense.

I don't think AMT meant to mislead, I also don't expect them to come in at 900W overclocked either. I do think they will hit 950W to 1100W range at nominal speeds and 1200W to 1400W overclocked.

If you can find a bet in there. I'll take it.
Dude,
I do not feel offended not at all. Without tying to offend you  you sound like my Literature teacher when i was in 8 grade. Speaking to much and telling nothing. Same like government guys do. When you ask a question you expect a clean response which is not happening. That is their job after all never to give clear answers and always disguise the truth Wink
Stop talking about normal and turbo mode speeds. Just tell me what bet are you taking for 1.2TH unit measured at/in wall or which way you like it as long it is same like the picture posted. We do not care about turbo/non turbo mode, chip count and all that stuff. The only thing that we do care about is 1.2 TH ONE unit making 1.2TH mass shipped not a sample

1.3W/Ghs and under.

Super 1.3x1200 = equals to 1560 Wats. That is doable for mas production though in case they sacrifice 20-30% of their chips. So you admit that the 600-900W is very underestimated and misleading information. Not to sound like literature teacher i am NOT talking the bet for 1560 Wats, because i said it is DOABLE. But i DO still take bets for 900W Grin Grin Grin Grin as i stated initially. What about you?

That is the likely situation,  the boards are Technobit design.  Just like they sold technobit design boards for the bitfury system.

I first thought that they may have been a problem with the coincraft A1 chips, however technobit is shipping stable versions, so it is not the A1 chips.

There is clearly something else going on here.

It is OBVIOUS that AMT is deliberately not showing progress by not showing photos of completed units.

AMT is not the only one,  Bitmine.ch is doing the same thing.

The question then is WHY are they shooting themselves in the foot?

ANSWER:  Retail is a crap business.   Both Bitmine and AMT are going wholesale.  They don't give a damn about the retail business.

Wholesale?  Did you not read the news in January that CoinSeed was buying $5 million worth of Bitfury boards?  (see:  http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20140123006299/en/CoinSeed-Invests-5-Million-BitFury-Bitcoin-Mining#.Uvthn0JdVng)  Well Bitfury is obsolete.   That is just a ruse,  they are likely buying $5 million worth of Coincraft.

Also do you notice that the trolls here are so involved in trying to spread FUD?  What's in it for them?   They want you to sell your spot... that is why.    AMT and Bitmine retail business is history pretty soon.  It is simply not worth it for them,  they've used retail to build up their cash position and they are moving into wholesale.

bitfury is not obsolete at all. This is most efficient chip in terms of power even though it is old 55nm tech. The only thing is how fast can you scale in terms of installation and what is the price negotiated when investing 5 Mil Wink
If i can invest 5 mil and i can scale fast i would buy furies for sure assuming same price per GH

Ok, I admit that I have not looked at the power numbers for bitfury versus coincraft.

Why don't we see 1.2 THs systems with Bitfury on board?
1. As far as i know bitfury is not shipping chips anymore. the last sold chips were last year November if i remember correctly.
There was a powerful design more chips per board from Bitfury itself and guess it never worked!
2. And designing TH unit in a box is pain in the ass because of various reasons, power, heating, chip density,PCB requirements and so on. It does not matter if it is bitfury coin craft or whatever. Small designs are more flexible in terms of power requirements and cooling. that is the main reason people do not build TH in one unit. But from marketing point of view TH in a box for 600W is a dream  Wink
Look at the cointera - i am not watching their thread closely but as far as i know instead of 2TH promised they are in 1.3-1.4TH i guess with 30-50% increased power usage also. that is the realty we all have to face. But this is not excuse for AMT and misleading info provided!

My theory is that AMT doesn't really care about the retail market.

That is why they barely do anything to update the site with more videos or photos.

What is very curious, Bitmine.ch is also doing the same thing.  No new updates from their website.

The retail business was used as a spring board to raise enough cash to either go into the wholesale business or go into massive mining operation.  The later has obviously more risk.

In general, I think both companies do not want to sell to new retail customers.

Misleading info? Don't assume wattage consumption on the idea that we'll use a specific design that available.  Or that just because we've used a board manufacturer before means we'll do the same thing again. Regarding your assumption of a massive farm, its not in the pipeline for sure. Both we and the Swiss are of course in it for hardware sale and are taking orders from new clients everyday. As sick as it is this "bad publicity" urges people to verify our legitimacy and in doing so they place an order in the process. I'm sure an update will emerge very soon demonstrating progress thus far.  And then we can talk about whats "at the wall".

I liked that .3w over under 1.1W idea with parlay on the hash-rate coming in on track, that was a good one.

bitfury is not obsolete at all. This is most efficient chip in terms of power even though it is old 55nm tech. The only thing is how fast can you scale in terms of installation and what is the price negotiated when investing 5 Mil Wink

I'll be honest,  I think they don't care at all.  Could be next week or week after next.

Your best bet is to sell your spot.  I am sure there are a lot of buyers out there.

I already sold one of my spots.

Look at the cointera - i am not watching their thread closely but as far as i know instead of 2TH promised they are in 1.3-1.4TH i guess with 30-50% increased power usage also. that is the realty we all have to face. But this is not excuse for AMT and misleading info provided!

We haven't been fed with a silver spoon with venture capital like some of the other asic manufacturers in the industry, and therefore can't attribute too much to pr/marketing. Its not like we don't want to do it, its just time consuming and we're still searching for the right person to take that on.

It does not take much time to posts photos that reveal progress.   Even screen shots will do.   But apparently, that's too much effort,  which I have no clue as to why that is so.

what happened to we are hiring more people? this like other little pieces of information you dole out have turned out to be lies. shipping dates have been patently false as well. it doesnt take long to GIVE A DELIVERY UPDATE! what happened to AMT asking buyers about case options last week? this was a lie too! it's bad enough you ignore questions you dont want to answer but the information you cherry pick is wrong as well. you wonder why people get angry with you? couple that with the worst customer service in american retail history and is it any wonder people DO NOT TRUST YOU? when will order #610 ship? how many times do i have to ask you?

I intend to coarsen. I want stark contrasts drawn. I want polarization. I will not quietly accept stateism so as not to upset anyone. I am not tolerant of our impending and increasing slavery.

Dude,
They just admitted the fact that 900 is fiction and made first steps to the real info 1680 WATS. I just do not get your comment as long as i quoted AMT_miners which supposed to be official AMT account. Did i miss something?

WOW...Misleading info? Be prepared guys 1.1W + .3W = 1.3Wx1200GH = 1680 WATS! What about 600-900W figures? Let us make them 2KW right?

And then we can talk about whats "at the wall".
? What do you actually producing at full speed WALLS or what? We can talk in "the wall also" Grin Grin Grin Grin
This is getting ridiculousness guys it seems like top secret NASA project dealing with walls Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Maybe a wager is called for here! AMT is claiming a much better wattage than what loshia claims is possible.
Dude,
They just admitted the fact that 900 is fiction and made first steps to the real info 1680 WATS. I just do not get your comment as long as i quoted AMT_miners which supposed to be official AMT account. Did i miss something?

So the AMT official says it is at 1680 watts for 1.2 THs miner?  Is that correct?

So is 1680 watts possible here?
