Felt like it was time to recompile Blakecoin wallet for linux. This is a 32bit binary. I made a few slight changes from the github code:

- updated openssl to 1.0.1j - this patches POODLE vulnerability
- updated copyright date to 2014
- enabled QR code support, and changed it from generating "bitcoin:(addr)" to "blakecoin:(addr)", adjusted window dimension so "blakecoin:(addr)" fits on one line
- changed the splash screen
- compiled with most recent leveldb
- compiled with gcc executable hardening settings
- changed the about page
- incremented to 0.8.9.1 (small number for builds)

Download archive here (includes binary and source):
http://www.mediafire.com/download/6pewsybe4wsz9ur/Blakecoin-QT-Linux-i386-0.8.9.1-beta.tar.gz

if you are on 64bit linux, you can run this 32bit wallet by installing i386 versions of the dependency libraries. i will probably end up building it for x64 binary as well, since that would be much easier.

update: i compiled a new one since i missed a few details - link is updated

Couple of noobish Qs about BlakeTrader...

1) Do we only have to register a destination addy once, i.e. after the first time can deposits be sent straight from the wallet without using the conversion link/captcha again?

Yes.  The destination addy that you registered is stored in our database and can be re-used indefinitely.  You can send future trades to that address without having to register again.

Quote
2) After sending a maximum amount for exchange, how long must one wait before sending another one? i.e. Must one wait until the exchange has been completed & confirmed at the wallet before sending another or can it be done 'close to' immediately after the first one has been sent?

Cheers Grin

You can send another trade immediately after you have sent a maximum amount.  If you send over the maximum amount, it will be rejected by our servers.

For example, the maximum per trade for BLC is 1,000 BLC per trade.

Send 2,000 BLC, the trade will be rejected.

But you can send 1,000 BLC, then immediately send another 1,000 BLC.  The trades will be processed serially.  However, the rates for the trades are updated continuously based on the rates on the exchanges as well as the amount of currency available.  So your 2nd trade may have slightly different rates.

I hope this explanation helps!  Wink

I think it would be helpful if the frontpage of BlakeTrader also had a column that specified the maximum amount for each trade.

Once my Electron receive addy is registered, I'm NOT told what the max is on the 'click to trade' page.

I'm doing my weekly trade-up now, my Blake - Electron will be fine (500) but I have no idea if my BBCT (1350) Photon (723,000) or Lithium (2063) trades will go through OK.

I'm hanging onto my UMOs though - they still seem WAY under-priced to me Wink

Hi Lion,

Thanks for the suggestions.  I will work on the frontpage of blaketrader on adding the trading limits.  It is pretty cluttered at the moment.  For now, I have added a link to the trading limits page on the top right of the frontpage under the Links section.  It can be accessed directly at

http://blaketrader.com/tradinglimits.php

For the addresses that have already been registered, it didn't show the trading limits on the trade to page.  This has now been corrected.

Sorry for the inconvenience with the max trading limits and thanks for all the suggestions.

Cheers!

EC

I was thinking that we should organize some bounties for blakecoin related projects. I would be willing to donate a several thousand blc towards bounties, but if several of us pitch in we could ensure enough incentive to have people complete the bounties. Any ideas what would be some worthwhile projects to back? I was thinking that porting the mycelium bitcoin wallet to blakecoin would be useful. maybe we could have a bounty for adding blakecoin to existing games, like how ignatius added it to counter strike? it would also make sense to have the first bounty be porting a platform for blakecoin bounties, such as bountysource (https://github.com/bountysource/).

Seems to me that mining ELT, UMO, XDQ, PHO on eu3 and ny2
are not working.

Dashboard is not showing any "unconfirmed"?

Something wrong at the pools?

I will contribute 2,000 BLC to a bounty for the person or group who first ports a platform for blakecoin bounties, as verified by bzyzny!

EDIT: I have contributed 2k BLC to a bounty maintained at BlakeCrypto.com. It will be adjudicated per the rules established by BlueDragon747.

Ok, since there seems to be interest in crowdfunding the Blake Bounties idea, and since I dont want to hijack this thread, I've started a thread for it on Blakecrypto.com (BD, this is the sort of thing you made BCS for, right?  Cool )

Double post from the BCS.  I'd be happy to handle the donations and upped my contribution to 5,000 BLC.  See the BCS thread for details.

Still only getting sporadic payouts. New York hasn't paid out for ages. Please fix.

as I said pools are getting some flooding attacks this is leading to crashing and although the pools are auto healing most of the time it is resulting in some long rounds and the occasional mmp crash or complete server crash

I am trying to do other work atm and cant spend all my time on the pools  Undecided

NY2 is running and finding blocks

EU3 is DDoS'ed atm I will reset and try to block the attacker but thats about all I can do!

you could always try the NOMP pool rather than my pools if you like

1. Need use public key generator.
2. Import private key to every wallet.
3. Use public key (user name for NOMP)

If somebody have locked wallet, they need to unlock before importing private key
on each wallet on Help>Debug window >Console .
1. walletpassphrase "YourLongPassphrase" 120
2. import privkey
3. Exit from wallet end start again
4. Connect your miner

I rebooted NY2 pool sever and found a stuck cron for PPLNS payouts am reprocessing them now it was finding blocks so your balance should start showing as it works though the backlog of blocks

Edit:
Took awhile but the backlog has been cleared on NY2 balances should be up to date
