If people are stupid enough to pay .55BTC for something that'll likely only generate ~.25BTC in its lifetime, good on 'em.  Original price was more in line with reason.

frankly I think he can't build a lot got big money for the ones  that he auctioned on ebay and thinks he can sell them here at a high price.Thus not have to risk ebay returns.

 I would not send him 1/1000 of a btc until at least one or 2 of his ebay sales post a feedback.   I wish him luck with his sales .

I also know another guy that is a week or so away from finishing a 2 chip prototype.  So he will have competition in a month or so.

Better yet, take the ridiculous sum they ask for and buy BTC.  Hold the BTC until purchasing a miner makes more sense.

Yup, huge difference between throwing money at a pre-order versus paying for a ready-to-ship product that you can guarantee won't ROI.  Huge difference.

Yeah, it's funny and then you have the potential resellers who are screaming that the guy is gouging buyers, which may be true, partly because they can't buy the sticks and resell them themselves because the price is too high.  The only game right now if you're trying to make money on BTC is to buy and hold or arbitrage.  There's just too much demand for mining equipment right now.
