The price went from 178 Euro to .55BTC, which is a gigantic increase in price for no real reason.

If people are stupid enough to pay .55BTC for something that'll likely only generate ~.25BTC in its lifetime, good on 'em.  Original price was more in line with reason.

frankly I think he can't build a lot got big money for the ones  that he auctioned on ebay and thinks he can sell them here at a high price. Thus not have to risk ebay returns.

I would not send him 1/1000 of a btc until at least one or 2 of his ebay sales post a feedback.   I wish him luck with his sales .

another small guy with a good product trying to max his profit.

oh well another chance lost to make money.

He may get tired of selling one at a time and be willing to sell to re-sellers in quantity at a decent price.
I also know another guy that is a week or so away from finishing a 2 chip prototype.  So he will have competition in a month or so.

I wouldn't buy from this guy for a number of reasons.

1. OP communication is poor...he doesn't bother to answer questions here
2. 0.55 btc  = 400+ usd - that is a price for the ebay not for the community on here
3. I can buy 2 blue/red furies for $300 usd.
4. He changes the prices as he likes
5. Bitfury chips cost $19 usd each.

I personally do hope he lowers the price significantly after taking profit at current levels

If he can sell at that price, let him.  Don't complain about it... just step aside.  If not, he will have to lower his prices... just wait.

You can buy 5 Technobit NanoFuries from Technobit for the same price, not 2.

But Technobit is not so trustworth. I ordered 50 Bitfury chips back in September specified with "October delivery" and I haven't got any of them till now.

Guys c'mon, I thought we we're above comparing prices/performance for Ready to Ship products, against potential vapourware items
The main reason WHY you can get it for less is because you'll get it later, When it will be worth less ~= same price but there is no "proper" math for this equation
Get 5gh/s now, or 7gh/s in "2-3 weeks" for the same price, Take your pick.... *eyeroll*

Better yet, take the ridiculous sum they ask for and buy BTC.  Hold the BTC until purchasing a miner makes more sense.

Yup, huge difference between throwing money at a pre-order versus paying for a ready-to-ship product that you can guarantee won't ROI.  Huge difference. Smiley
