Woot, someone beat me to the dice game. I've always wanted to put one up.

As much of a good thing a "dice" site is, I can't believe the Blatant ripoff of PD.  Thats just not right, imo. Change the damn visuals.

Yeah, Mr. Hazard, make it look like either the old PD, or JD (DD).

@vesperwillow, you got PM. hehe. Let's hope they deliver! I ordered a Viper. Next one will be a Fibonacci or Flower, unless Gridseed has any for sale.

Dabs let me know after you setup your mining stuff, I would like to follow someone I know and trust to possibly help me out.

Sure thing. This is a long term gamble. And the suspense and thrill is going to take several months. Probably better than playing dice. I am hoping since it's supposed to be a "ready-to-mine-asic" that I just plug it in and turn it on.

PD3 is coming in a few days... So it'll look like the old PD soon. Tongue

Does your site have some sort of "investment" option?

Fuse,

While you have the ear of Mark and the team... can you recommend a built-in difficulty and netowrk hash-rate monitor for the wallet... it would be helpful to miners and pool operators to confirm the status of the network and allocate hash power.

A very major fork is happening... nearly 50 blocks between... TAG and BOT on something like 29434 and Hash and IT on something like 29475... explorer at 29434... Mark needs to suspend TAG until they have this fixed... somebody is going to end up with a lot of orphans.

Yep, we took the brunt of the orphans on this one.  Working on a resync right now.

Ouch... that seriously hurts... no good...

Block explorer is still back at 27438... so how does it really work... just a rhetorical question... not for you to answer Fuse.

Anyone notice Botpool instantly jumped from ~800 worker to more than 1000 instantly?

If you are on the same chain or mine at BOT I highly suggest you rethink that decision if you want to keep your mined TAG.

What a mess, thanks for the update BCX. Fingers crossed Tagmining is on the correct chain.

Question? Say botpool ends up being on the losing fork and the last several hours worth of coins become invalid/orphaned, because botpool only has 10 confirms does that give miners who think there may be a problem time to cash out their coins for something else before the shit hits the fan?

What happens then?

Good question.  3/4 of an hour ago the blockchain that botpool is on was 78 blocks behind the chain tagmining is on.  The difference is now only 6 blocks... To complicate matters the block explorer is nearly 100 blocks behind.

Right now the explorer shows "no block found" for almost 9 hours, for blocks 29414 through to 29605.

Edit: Looks like that huge run of POW blocks I commented on earlier have disappeared off the explorer, and prior to the <9 hour gap blocks 29370 to 29413 are all POS.

I've got my own thoughts on what I think the problem is but I'll keep them to myself this time. Looking forward to the fix Smiley

I'm going to make a comment regarding the issues we are having.  Do not take this as being directed at anyone or anything.  I just want to assuage the masses.

Yes we are forking.  Yes, orphans are going to happen and people on certain pools are going to lose coin.  But it is 100% factual that the network will sort itself out.  As I'm typing this we're all on the same page again.

This earlier in the week I was a bit skeptical about whether or not the TAG network is healthy.  After the numerous forks, and orphans I've had on Tagmining, I was getting a bit ticked off.  But each fork we had corrected itself over time and everyone ended up on the same page.  This "self-healing" of the network, through the mining pools' support, have proven to me that I can stop worrying about the forks as much as I thought I had to.  I slept well last night knowing the only issue I needed to worry about at yesterday was the fact that my main drainage line to the septic tank is clogged, or the septic tank is full, making it impossible to use water in my house right now.  So no worries about the crypto world, and I slept like a baby!

Mark and the TAG development team are working on the fix.  I'm sure it will put an end to a lot, if not all(I'm banking on all), of this.

So let's just ride all this out and laugh it off years from now when TAG rewards are used on every continent in the world  Grin.

(just my $0.02 on all this)

tagbond/all,

Is there any value in getting TAG removed from the purgatory list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=134179.0

Saw it and just thought I'd mention it.

@atlosas - probably not, bter is a bit of a problem lately, as others have experienced...not sure what is going on there, I get no response from the admin.

@ uvwvj - I quite agree..we are building projects but they are taking time to do, and others should build stuff around the coin as well to make it more useful... I am quite happy to continue as we are, as we created the coin to work for us in our rewards system. Now others should do the same...

@ vesperwillow - I have no control of the list where TAG is in purgatory...Smiley...I think the moderator of that forum posting looks for technical differences in a coin, rather than any real word use of it...hence it just says, another clone..

For the tagcoin explorer, sometimes i have to go in and restart the deamon, and it catches up...not quite sure why yet...same reason I have to restart my wallet sometimes perhaps..:-)

Maybe throw up a cronjob that does this automatically every couple hours ?  It would alleviate the issue of having to do it manually.
