Yeah, I have to wait to hear from wetsuit on that but if it is another botter they didn't get the memo. Anyway, 754 million fewer tickets (63% reduction) means we cleared most of them out and now we can have a look at what is left and adjust the anti-bot system accordingly. |

Not all 15xx things are bot.
That is very true, we do still get a large number of genuine customers joining us all the time. However, those 4 were part of a botnet and didn't receive those prizes. It was a much smaller network than the ones we got rid of so far and we are continuing our work on weeding out the rest of them. |

For redistribution of the confiscated : a higher pot is ok. But more clever is having more winners. It is a bit more motivating, because it raises chance to win something. Although me and my friends on freebitco do not gamble, we have an agreement that if we win a freeroll higher than base, we buy lottery tickets for half of the surplus approx. Just not in the hope to win something, but just give something back to freebitco. I talked about our non gambling attitude many times with Myfe (your predecessor Quin?) and Wetsuit. Point that I have the impression that the higher ones gambling thrift is, the higher the cheating thrift seems to be... . We're rebranding and expanding freebitco.in so eventually it will have doge as well. There's not much point doing anything to freedoge.co.in before that happens. |

Bots are easy to recognise when you look at them. The hard part is finding them amongst 16 million accounts. And how do you pay to winners? If it is all automatically then how did you get them back?(I mean those prizes)
It is automatic but wetsuit waited for the draw and then checked the winners and zeroed the balances on the cheats. We are actually getting a lot tougher on multi-accounting abuse and I've deleted several hundred thousand accounts this week. |
