What about this 20% price decrease. Is this the usual market movement? Most of my other PoS coins do not show this kind of volatility.
More soft trolling from the DMD shill.  Same thing over in the HYP thread.  So pathetic.

I agree, there's many explanations for the recent decline that have nothing to do with the long term health of TEK. Someone wanted/needed to cash out, lets hope they made a profit. Maybe their car broke down and needed fixing, who knows!!

TEK is still my favourite PoS along with HBN

Let's be nice, Ivan is usually supportive Cheesy

TEK has gone through wild swings since it's launch. It always seems to ride back up to around 5K no matter how far down it goes. I remember quite well when it was 400 satoshis, so overall I'd say a 20% drop in a few days that's still well above it's historic lows ain't such a big deal. Most of the time, you can't get large amounts of TEK, so when somebody does drop a lot, quick, it does tend to drop the market. On the other hand, when you're trying to acquire more, it tends to be difficult and costly Cheesy

I wonder what is the point in this unlimited coin?

Wealth preservation, my friend.
As I type, the Chinese stock markets are getting absolutely crushed despite all desperate measures by the PBOC. European and North American markets are on deck.
PMs are getting hammered as well, as the commodity super-cycle comes to it's end. Real estate will follow, as investors dump to cut losses and meet margin calls. Bonds aren't safe either.
Cryptocurrencies are the new gold, a viable hedge against deflation and inevitable inflation that will visit as governments scramble to paper over the losses.
Position yourself accordingly.

Day 73 and vacation in 3 days.  Difficulty dropping.  Do I bite the bullet and unlock or wait until I get back?  Hmmm.

Any news on a wallet update/upgrade?  Beta testing?  Perhaps including S4C and unlock for PoS only?

Yes plz. Tek is awesome, but the wallet is getting outdated, and badly needs the "unlock for pos only" fixed, as well as split block.

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

Split/Combine or "splitthreshold" does exist... in the conf file.

add to tekcoin.conf in *\appdata\roaming\tekcoin:

Code:
splitthreshold=1010

I'd like to see it in the wallet though, but it is there and usable.

Outstanding.  Now the only thing left to make TEK (and TRK) wallets run with the big dogs is S4C. Smiley
