I have always been a bit confused about what eco-staking means exactly, does it perform while using less energy on my computer or is it just normal staking with a fancy term attached ?

TEK is an old coin. "normal staking" wasn't normal when it came out. Most of the staking coins in existence are somewhat to much newer than TEK, so while it seems "old hat" now, it was pretty revolutionary at the time. POW/POS hybrid and high staking on a 30 days cycle. Still pretty unique in my book.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Tekcoin moved up to #4 on Cryptopia. Selling at 900 sat
yes the price are highly volatile : buy 220 sell 550.
The gap is huge.
That means people don't want to sell their TEK lower than ~500. But there is buy support at ~200 because they know its cheap.
The buy support will certainly go up in price.

DEV send some Tek

TEK BZYSqxKK29KUAsuTTGSZkkrgWuRSBNTakv

That is pretty awesome. I just hope that we could get a new wallet with the new Tekcoin logo as shown in this picture. A few extra adjustments into the interface would not be bad as well. Right now, TEK is doing pretty well on Cryptopia exchange. Maybe then, it would be added to Bittrex real soon. Just wait and see.

I'm just going to keep buying and staking  Grin

Since we are not having any luck on the YO-BITS front, Perhaps we should start pushing for C-CEX?
https://c-cex.com/?id=vote

Looks like simple voting gives 1 vote, and .001BTC gives a vote. They take one new coin per week.

Should we go for it?

Stake difficulty is HIGH.  I don't get why folks stake at this rate.  It has to be microwtakers letting their wallets run amuck. They would do so much better by combining their holdings and letting difficulty settle. I don't get it.

I voted, but would be willing to invest in more votes if we thought we wanted to go that way. Consensus?

I am only staking when the difficulty is low.
I am using that script to control staking :

Code:
import pyjsonrpc
import time

http_client = pyjsonrpc.HttpClient(
    url = "http://127.0.0.1:18514",
    username = "tekcoinrpc",
    password = "<password>"
)

pos_diff_limit = 0.001

while True:
    pos_diff = info = http_client.call("getinfo")["PoS difficulty"]
#    print pos_diff

    if pos_diff > pos_diff_limit:
        res = http_client.call("reservebalance", True, 99999999)
    else:
        res = http_client.call("reservebalance", False)

    time.sleep(60)

it will activate staking on the wallet only if PoS diff is under pos_diff_limit.
you can put 0.00006 but I doubt difficulty will go down.

sure, TEKcoin is banned from being added to Yobit.

They couldn't compile it on debian  Roll Eyes and then they got troll smacked by the chat box, and banned some users.

Some updates have been made to the TEKcoin github(Thanks Noise23) including the addition of the new logo(thanks LadyWhaleCoin). Hopefully we can round up some compiles for everyone soon.
