I have an appetite for TEK, I don't buy OTC for exchange prices though.  There would be no reason to do that, seeing as it adds risk. Consider me a buyer of last resort.

make sure you wallet is unlocked and leave the coins in the wallet. it'll mint new coins eventually (don't move them around).

What do you mean by unlocked? Do i have to keep my wallet open 24/7?

if your wallet is encrypted, unlock it. it's not necessary to keep the wallet open 24/7 as the blockchain will move without it being open, so when you open your wallet, it will sync up and populate any changes directly from the blockchain.

So i deposit coins into my wallet, keep the coins in there and every 30 days i open up the wallet to get my coins, and repeat?

i suppose you can do it that way, yes. I like to keep my PoS wallets open and unlocked, just to make sure i'm not missing anything - but that's just my OCD  Grin

This is the general idea. There are other considerations too though. The coins don't immediately stake after 30 days. They are simply eligible for stake.  This means that your blocks will be competing with other blocks to be selected to stake. The longer you keep your wallet open at a time and the older your coins are, the more likely that you will stake.

I do too.  Right now I am receiving a nice lesson with patience.  Pretty much planning on compounding most of my stake.

Not quite that regular, and you'd raise your chances by being connected. After thirty(ish) days you'll go to stake. I've staked once now, and it was at 38 days. But it was a very small amount of coin. Bigger wallets raise the stakes, pun intended. It's also a good idea, if you want the payout to be regular, to send the whole balance that you're attempting to stake to yourself. Makes one consolidated block of coins to stake instead of a bunch of small ones.
The staking function works well in TEK, unlike most PoS coins. It takes a while, but it has a high return.
