Unfortunately the coin exchange program has ended. If you had any coins left on poloniex or c-cex they would have been automatically converted.

I found my old Gridcoin wallet.dat file when coin first launched and i thought i lost it so didnt bother until now, My question is can i sync it with new upgraded wallet or it is worthless after gridcoin became gridcoin research? I didnt follow so it would be helpful if community member answer my question. Thanks a lot!

Ah, thanks for the info. It was a small amount of coins so not a problem. Glad to see this project is ongoing with purpose, all the best Smiley

This is such an amazing coin and clearly a cut above the rest of the alts. Why is it not worth more? Is it just an advertising problem?

Advertising, plus the wallet setup is still being simplified, some people have hard time setting things up.

Gridcoin Research 3.4.0.3/23.7
Leisure Upgrade
New User Wizard - Beta Release

- Added new user wizard beta release (NOTE: This is intended for testing/refinement.  It will automatically launch later after we work out remaining additional features).
The new user wizard DOES have the ability to automatically install BOINC if Boinc is not installed.
It will save the four user settings in the config file automatically and pull the values back in each time the user enters the wizard.
It will automatically detect if a project is already attached (wont create a duplicate project).
If the project is Not attached, it will create a new web account, add the user in Team Gridcoin automatically, save the web account, and download the account public key.
(Gridcoin will NOT delete any BOINC program data, so do not fear deleting the boinc Application dir and testing).
Then it will attach the project to Boinc and to Gridcoin.
Please Test on a new machine without boinc end-to-end.
To launch: Click Advanced | New User Wizard.

  - (Gridcoin automatically installs the latest version of BOINC: 7.4.42 (32bit version for compatibility across windows platforms)

** Note, if you have boinc installed and some projects attached, and you still want to test this, you can do this by picking a non attached project and GRC will figure out where you are in the process and auto attach the project (IE it skips the boinc install portion automatically) **

We have the dedicated Gridcoin Research page on CryptoBlox back up and operational, hopefully a lot more stable then the last attempt with the new explorer I have started using.

Included on the page is a Block Explorer, Richlist, Faucet, Links, Stats and Specs, and more.

Still more work to go into it, but the explorer, richlist and faucet are again live.  Have a look and let me know what you think.

Dear PICISI sponsor,

For a limited time PICISI is offering each PICISI sponsor a FREE article about their entity in relation to PICISI.

Please note that the story need not relate directly to crowdfunding, or cryptocurrency, the most important factor is an informative and compelling story, we will figure out how to include PICISI, Pi, and/or other essentials.

I invite you to take advantage of the opportunity to put your entity, you, or someone else related to your entity in the spotlight.

Contact me via PM or here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1053613.msg11312978#msg11312978

Guys, let's list all our stuff that has been collecting dust for sale on Cointopay! I put up some of my gpus and older PC stuff up! I think this would be a great way for newbies to get some GRC, but don't have bitcoin and don't want to deal the hassles of opening exchange acc. They can just list their stuff for sale and get into the Gridcoin economy that way! I created a sales thread where people can list their stuff here: https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/38289-cointopay-sales-thread-post-your-stuff/

You are invited to post the link as a comment to the following thread:

http://www.crowdfundinsider.com/2015/05/67507-bitcoin-alternative-hyper-teams-up-with-goldpieces-to-sponsor-digital-currency-crowdfunding-platform-picisi-launches-worldwide-crypto-gaming-network/

Before think of it as interloping spam please read on.    The above crowdfunding (CF) article is far more important to the CC space than most will think.

To those of us in the cryptocurrency space the article is about a CC named GoldPieces, to those outside of the CC space it may be an article about gaming, but it actually is far more than that.

That article represents a bridge between the CC world and the CF world.  That site is one of the most well recognized crowdfunding media sites in the CF industry, their target audience is extremely limited and highly focused, the audience is essentially made up of two types of people: campaign organizers and campaign donors.  If you look at the DNA of a CF organizer, a CF donor, and a CC speculator you will see very little difference because we are all cut from the same cloth.

Our DNA map is: visionary, striver, investor, adventurer, gambler, thinker, creator, doer, motivator, leader ... etc ... you know what I'm talking about because you are one too.

That article is bigger than those featured in it, it represents a CC story (OUR story) being told in a foreign land (CF land) as such we should do what we can to support our story in their land so that more of them are encouraged and inspired to read more about us.

Please write a comment at the article, mention Gridcoin, Cointopay, and or any of the projects Gridcoin is involved with knowing that the more positive attention drawn to the article the more people will want to know about cryptocurrency.
