Protection provided by BitFence will block high risk hosts, malicious payloads, viruses, malware, suspicious addresses automatically within seconds everywhere around the globe after threat is "mined" by the network of their StingMiners and risk scored with BitFence Engine.

So this means BitFence device is enough to secure our network? Can it be good solution for antivirus as well? How honeypot concept will help in removing viruses as well?

In a simplified terms, the project creates like a trap, that is not noticeable by hackers, now when they get into the specified site (trap) and perhaps try to do something malicious, they will be detected and their identities will be noted which will be spread across the network, they also will open up a store where you can source for any protective hardware or software of your choice, so is like the total package, hope this helps

A pretty good explanation of what the honeypot type of trap is, honeypots and viruses are not the same, honeypots are to prevent against active attacks from the outside basicaly instead of them pounding your computer trying to let them in the honeypot lets them into a virtual box that they can hack all they want, because its all nonsense, and then when they leave poof they hacked nothing.

Exactly, well explained; the idea of the honeypot is to understand what kind of things they are trying to attack, why and how they are carry out these techniques.

Once identified, it's easier to protect yourself against the same attack occuring on a "REAL" network rather than a virtual which contains no sensitive data.

Yeah man, BitFence project is really cool, the feeling of setting a trap for hackers and patiently waiting for them to fall prey is quite thrilling and come to think one gets rewarded for busting hackers and the same time everyone stays protected.

Great explanation there. Bitfence looks like a great project to invest with. There are just a lot of technicalities that investors would have to learn as it doesn't sound like a project where a a money hungry traders will start to look at. I wish success  and hope to see the project gets funded well though this ICO.

After the presale is over and they have reached the softcap, the sale is now in stage1. does anyone know how many stages until the end of ico on 1.7. are planned and how are they different?

That actually did not mentioned anywhere. But as I found in white paper they said "BitFence Token Generating   Event (TGE) will be accomplished in two phases – i.e.   Pre-Sale Event and Actual   Token Sale or Crowd Sale Event.
Total planned days for these events are approximately   60 days. The   hardcap   figure during   both TGE phases   collectively is $50 million."

I think this suffices; from what I understood there are only two sales pre and public. The pre-sale has already been achieved and now the public sale.

I think the stages reflect the milestone progress so far until operations.
Yes, Seems to be they raised good funds in very less time and still raising. I am expecting good growth from Bitfence in some upcoming days.
OMG Shocked 57 ETH in stage in 2 days? They are moving great. Now in progress bar converted in blue color. So at least via progress bar also we can track progress of ICO.

That's cool. I hope the progress bar will experience a live sales update? Case I have noticed of recent, it seems like a difficult task for project to keep a live sales update progress bar in their website.

Honey pot will help the network administrator prepare the system for similar kind of attacks in the future by studying the behaviour or methods used on the honeypot.

You are right mate. The Bitfence network and engine will learn, supported by AI, more about the Hackers and their way of work, to protect the users of the Bitfence network more effectively.

Exactly, a honeypot is not an all in our solution, it's a trap.  You should still have client side AV on every machine, you should still have a Firewall and IPS.

Yea, they are not same, that was why i said something about the store that they will be create for both hardware and software products, probably that will create the avenue to purchase the desired antivirus that clients tend to have, that's like creating a protective ecosystem

That's pretty smart actually, I've heard of the concept before but I like that BitFence are using this technique to develop their own software to help prevent hacking.

To be honest, I don't really understand the system with all those specific words, but I like he idea behind this project, that the community secure each other and "mine" hackers together.

Pleased to announce that we are sponsoring World Blockchain Forum in New York 11-13 June 2018. Hope to see some of you guys there! Stop by our booth and dont miss our keynote!

https://newyork.keynote.ae/sponsors/

WOW this is big news, massive exposure for the Bitfence project on one of the worlds largest blockchain events, I thinks it great that Bitfence will also be speaking during their keynote.

WOW, not just attending it like some other ICO's or companies, but actually putting up and SPONSORING, thats pretty da*n impressive, i've seen some other ICO's saying "we will be attending" but haven't seen many put up the effort and cash to actually sponsor the event. Doing stuff like this really is a way to gain some much needed exposure and show their here for the longhaul.

I haven't actually thought it this way tho, you raised a valid point here, they went ahead to put in their money to show the much needed presence and faith in both blockchain and their project

That is guaranteed money well invested. There, many partnerships are closed and potential new investors can be found there. It will certainly be interesting

At this point I wished I have a backer that can take me to an all expense paid trip to the event  Cry I'd like to meet bitfence and shake hands with them and say words like "thank you for coming to defend our space"

HEHE i know right, new york is so close,  well not close but closer than most of the other conferences i've seen announced, wish i could get to go, since their sponsoring i wonder if this means they will also have a keynote at the event that would be a MASSIVE win, being a sponsor is a nice bit of advertising to get their name out in the cryptospace but having a nice keynote could really blow things out of the water.

Bitfence router is really easy to use more like a plug and play thingy, protecting our various cyber activities with alot of simplicity https://medium.com/@genievic2324/bitfence-remove-hacker-from-your-network-3c16368917bc
Can we already buy the router? as it seems nice to have one and test how it goes or are there any reviews about the router from people who already have it?

BitFence already developed router? I though they will start working on this once softcap is reached. If router is ready then its really good news.

I do not think they are done yet. But I have not found any specific information.
For this I have discovered this information: these pre-configured secured routers can be purchased with
integrated BitFence 3-month subscriptions to year with very affordable options

I am reading subscription fees for the first time. As an investor I think that's good, more revenue from Bitfence is good for me as well :-)

I checked BitFence site and I dont see any information regarding product status. Let wait for team to provide update on this.

i think the team are gonna surprise us with the product.   Ive heard they have it prepped already
