I do not like projects that use kyc, many managers who announced kyc at the end of the project, I do not care this is at the beginning or behind, I do not like to tell who I am in crypto

i don't have a problem with the KYC process. but don't find it correct if the rules are changed afterwards  Roll Eyes
And it's really exaggerated about airdrops. I don't go along with that.

It's not very good, but since the project team makes all the decisions, it doesn't make sense for us to discuss it.

In the beginning, deliberately not publishing rules, attracting more people as free workers, and then immediately changing the rules when making payments, this behavior is fraudulent in all circumstances. They even have small bonuses are reluctant to pay,so don't expect their ICOs to bring you revenue, don't invest in them.

What do you think about bounty campaigns that announce their KYC check at the end of the campaign? Many bounty hunters simply don't want to do that and the bounty managers or the ICO teams get free promotion for their projects.

Is this fair?

Every bounty thread should clearly state, wether there will be a KYC or not. We should ask the admins for changing the rules regarding this issue.

What do you think?

Honestly I dont understand why need KYC for bounty participants
I understand KYC for ICO but not for bounty

Such campaigns as Knowledge.io are an exact example of scam.

Yes there are bounties that has been successfully finished and now they are asking for KYC earlier they did not state anywhere on bitcointalk thread that they will pay only those who provide KYC. But in my opinion it is somehow right because I have noticed many scammers are using others bitcointalk ids to participate in telegram or twitter bounties. So it would be the right thing to ask KYC because some fake users can't provide the KYC. Even I myself noticed in many airdrops and twitter campaign some fake users using my bitcointalk id & link to participate. I raised to those bounty managers to remove the fake entries. Personally I do not have any issue to give my KYC to get coins. But rules should be decided first  when they start the campaign it should not be changed at the end.

This requires us to ask these questions before we participate in a bounty campaign. However, you can't guarantee that they keep their words. XTRA is an example. Their dev started by telling bounty participants that they don't need to provide KYC verified, but when the bounty ended they go back on their words.

The idea of KYC after bounty looks strenuous, after going all through the stress and ambiguity of some campaigns. I prefer bounty campaigns with no KYC after them.

It's not fair, they announced KYC when the bounty campaign is end. I don't want to participate that kind of bounty campaign that needs KYC, what for?, well it's up to you if you want to get your reward then you need to pass your KYC.

actually this is not a problem for me, kyc just ask us to show our identity, the problem is when the project is a scam, let alone show identity, I want to show it all as long as it is not a scam

If a bounty campaign does not want to be blamed by others as a scam, they should announce all rules at the beginning.
At end they were criticized for changing the rules, they seeked this trouble by themselves.

why so worrying about KYC? using KYC is not wrong, it is for security that no one will cheat of having multiple accounts but as a student, we have problems with the use of it because some requirements for the verification, we actually do not have, which make us no pay at the end of the campaign. We are struggle where to find valid ID, billing, business permits etc., because we are dependent with our parents. KYC will be big problem to us if every campaign required that. and it also reduce multiple accounts
The problem is not KYC itself, but the announcement of it at the end of the campaign. Many bounty managers do this in order to get free promotion for the project and this is not fair.

Yes, most of our discussion is that they change the rules at the end time, not the necessity of KYC. No one opposes KYC verification, but it is necessary to inform the participants in advance.

There were such precedents. This of course is not correct. But if you want to receive your rewards, then you have no choice but to go through the identification procedure KYC. Otherwise, your earnings will be divided into all.

It was unfair because they must announce the KYC requirements before the campaign. In such case they are forcing the bounty hunters to do KYC because if they participated for let's say 8 weeks ofcourse they don't want to lose the rewards.

I don't like the KYC after the end of the bounty. It's totally unfair. All terms must be announced before the start of the bounty. KYC is the right and necessary procedure but I don't think this is a right time for KYC because now there are too many scam ICOs.

Yes, I also came across with that several times. And I, in principle, don't mind KYC verifications, this will help remove bots and users with multi-accounts. But to me, as well as to the majority nevertheless, it would be desirable to know about this procedure in advance.

Manager of bounty campaign should wrote about KYC before the bounty campaign start. I never joined and I will never join to bounty campaign that ask for my ID or other personal information. I'm afraid that my document will be used for some bad things , you can't trust to everyone. As you can see many of ICO turned into scam , so be careful where you send you personal document.

In my opinion, managers must write about KYC in the beginning!  Also, cheaters can buy KYC data in darknet and pass all verifications. This procedure won’t stop cheaters.
