Two questions:

 - can it be implemented 'auction system', when data storage fee is dynamic and depends only on demand - the same as with Bitcoin transaction fees, more DTC per 1KB -> higher probability to be processed soon (and to be processed at all - with 0 fee it can be impossible to confirm transaction)

 - what is current development process and nearest plans?

This is the same question as mentioned above. In case tx fee modification will be enabled it will behave following way:

----
Sender can set any fee above technically hard-coded minimum (such a minimum is required in order to avoid tx spam).
Each miner sets his own minimum fee to accept tx into memory pool.

Auction system will really work in case tx flow is close to 1Mb per minute (max blockchain capacity). Below this limit miners are motivated to accept any tx with fee above zero.
----

NB: Second question will get it's answer also Wink

oocook5u has answered my PMs, il help him to setup a dnsseeder so the peer problems will be gone in a further release (or if you compile from git, as soon hes commiting it).

in the awesome 80s and 90s sci-fi movies people traded info in the future...and that future seems to be now with Datacoin and Namecoin.
but what exactly sets datacoin apart from namecoin? (apart from it being based on primecoin)
namecoin already allows for decentralized encrypted storage , alongside the DNS, torrenttracking and multiple other uses (more info on namecoin.org  )
not dissing datacoin in anyway....just trying to understand what it brings to the table that is really gamechanging .
also who is @datacoininfo ? he promises free dtc for retweets but I personally haven't received any after a retweet (@xtsimon) and doubt others have too. doesn't look good nor helps community start on the right foot if the recognized official twitter takes people for a ride and doesn't honor even such little bounties.

First question: answer from dev (many many pages ago)
The fist coin with data in tx was Namecoin. The main difference is that Namecoin is a key-value storage and it applies some rules to the data (data can be correct or not). Datacoin daemon handles blobs and it doesn't care about data format.

Second questions: it is forum member jpmi1 who is in our unofficial team. I'll ask him today about this - I'm sure that he just didn't see it. When did you retweet it?

Are there any new addnodes?
My new pc I build today says "Warning: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade"
My laptop has the same nodes, but says nothing.

does the pc have 'no blockchain available' message?

Second questions: it is forum member jpmi1 who is in our unofficial team. I'll ask him today about this - I'm sure that he just didn't see it. When did you retweet it?

couple of days ago, and I also reminded him of it but nothing. probably didn't expect so many retweets and ran out? (also cos that tweet was later featured on an article on the Heavy blog).
https://twitter.com/Datacoininfo/status/411559938180149249
instead of ignoring users asking why they didn't receive anything he could have made a tweet to inform the offer was over or deleted the tweet.
no biggie but best not upset early adopters/enthusiasts.

and tonight noticed something a bit dodgy
https://twitter.com/Datacoininfo/status/414154239590420480
the BTC donation wallet address he gives out for helping DATACOIN (he's asking donations to help datacoin and not just to aid his twitter campaign) is not the official address fund present on datacoin.info
I hope you can iron out this sort of inconsistency. cos integrity is most important for datacoin to succeed.
and if you have different donation funds for marketing and development these should be listed on the official site.
maybe worth having an official twitter? and you max seem very active and informative so why not you?

apart from these twitter hiccups  you guys are doing a great job and you're onto something good. keep up the great work.
btw I also had the 426 week sync problem but i'm using an exchange wallet for now till it gets fixed

cheers
simon

The Datacoin network has also produced several notable top prime chains. While there are no records, some chains make it to the top three. The difficulty is still below 10.

12 1CC: 95, 94, 93
12 2CC: 92
12 TWN: 99, 94

11 1CC: 103, 99, 99
11 2CC: 102, 99, 99
11 TWN: 99, 98, 98

10 1CC: 106, 105, 105
10 2CC: 106, 106, 105
10 TWN: 110, 108, 107

9 1CC: 115, 114, 113
9 2CC: 115, 110, 110
9 TWN: 110, 108, 107

8 1CC: 103, 102, 102
8 2CC: 106, 105, 104
8 TWN: 110, 105, 101

7 1CC: 100, 98, 98
7 2CC: 103, 100, 98
7 TWN: 99, 98, 98

6 1CC: -
6 2CC: 90, 88
6 TWN: 84

According to that Datacoin is also helping finding prime numbers although its difficulty is smaller than primecoin Smiley

Hello I run the DTC twitter account and am sorry for the recent fund shortage. I have received funds for max and the twitter promotion is still active. All current users who have re tweeted should have received the DTC. Regarding the address at the time of the tweet there was no official datacoin wallet address. Note since we receive a very small amount of donations most for the DTC comes out of our personal pockets. Any donation is always appreciated.

Thanks
JPMI1

thanks jpmi1, glad to hear, and I have now received the promotion DTC (infact I received 3 now?? wow ty ....I'll see maybe to give one away tomorrow or something).
was good to clear all these things now so that the project can grow from strength to strength.
I think everyone reading this now can rest assured the project is in good hands and you guys (from the dev team to the marketing team) are trustable and on the same page.
I opened a twitter recently for "life after btc" kinda thing https://twitter.com/xtsimon
dunno what coins will triumph in the future nor I care, what I know is trading cryptoInformation (intrinsic value + liberty) makes more sense than trading just pointless cryptonumbers.
so datacoin and namecoin are the only cryptos that interest me at the moment.
and most sci-fi movies/novels ,where people trade info in the not so distant future, I would say have been pretty accurate in predicting our futures so far ....
