Use metamask extension together with your hardwallet and im sure phishing sites, viruses and malwares wont have any chance to get your privatekeys, but mots importantly do not give out your keys anyone, because if you did there will be no way to get back what you are going to lose, theres no coming back so always protect your keys like your love ones.

Alternative crypto currency is easy to protect: convert it to Bitcoin with a remote purse. Either in fiat ... Seriously, the most accessible defense is two-factor identification

take care of our private keys, IDs and other hints of our wallet. And after did some profitable selling, just make it to cash as soon as possible. Keep being ungreedy and not be decoyed by spams and phisings.
Hacking and phishing attacks are among the biggest security threats to your cryptocurrencies, so you must set strong passwords for your wallets and all accounts that deal with cryptocurrencies.Keep these tips in mind when setting up or using your cryptocurrency accounts.
Yes use alphanumeric while creating your password and don't keep your altcoins in online wallet try to download desktop wallet and store your coins this is safe to compare online wallet. Some people will keep altcoins in exchanging sites it is not safe site anytime they can close and go so just for the trading purpose you can keep some coins that's it.

Just use metamask extension to protect your browser from getting into phishing sites,do alot of research so that you can prevent these phising attempts,do not use your main email when joining airdrops, use hardwallet because these are the most secured wallets as of today, never give out your keys to anyone because you wont recover what you can lose.

What is the best methods to protect altcoin from hacker?

I have program name is folder lock (It is currently only available on windows), and then i paste all data need to be hidden with strong password, don't upload it to cloud of everywhere on internet
Suffice to say that a separate PC without any connection to the internet will be necessary here and could be a bargain for hardware wallets when running low on budget. That said, matters of security are never effectively resolved with just one or two measures, but a seamless combination of a whole lot of them. As for phishing emails, it's best to be wary of unsolicited emails and anyone deep into fauceting, should never settle for free anti virus and malware software.

The full proof security available only through hardware wallet and trazor is the best hardware wallet. If you use online wallets then always secure your private key from phishing attacks and you are fully secure. You can also store your altcoins at exchanges which have 2FA as it is also a great security feature and only you have access of your 2FA.

It's okay to save your private key. Don't use your private key if you're connected to the Internet. It will be safe to keep it offline for a long time. The digital world is as simple as that. This is the ultimate solution, and it is also a safety method approved by everyone

There are many ways to protect your coins, for example, store them on different purses and well hide passwords from them.

One popular crime which is conducted on cryptocurrency traders is the phone-porting attack. Crooks monitor social media in search of cryptocurrency discussions wherein people publish their emails and phone numbers for quick connection. After that, hackers use various social engineering techniques and posing as a victim.

First don't leave them on an exchange, put them in a wallet and keep your key and pass well locked.

If you can get a ledger it is even better but not all altcoins are compatible with it.

In my opinion, if you have coins on any Exchange then make strong password of 10-15 words in which alphabets, digits and symbols are include and also enable it with 2FA security feature or if possible then go with hardware wallets like Nanoledger or Trezor. And protect your all the passwords and keys in the safest place like in USB drive or write in paper. You can also never click on phishing mails or suspicious link. By doing this according to your choice, i think you can save your fund.

never tell your private key to others, and be careful of phishing sites that can divert you and steal your private key. will be more secure if you use an offline wallet such as ledger.

Having all these things you can protect your ALT coin

  1.   offline wallet ( recommand and it is cheapest also)
  2.   hardware wallets   (it will cost but I recommand /Trezor or Nano ledger)
  3.   Do not click on links that you do not know. (maybe it will be a phising site)
  4.   Clear all the history on your computer as soon as posible
  5.   website better be bookmarked
  6.   store your private key and password separate safe device (not your PC which you use every day)
  7.   Active  2FA wherever possible

I think this will help you  Smiley Smiley
