Other pools currently charge 10%

Not true, rfcpool.com only charge 7% Smiley
It could be that they charge 7%. But their site does not list that number anywhere as far as I can tell. The price per share they mention seems out of date given the current difficulty. Their price does not translate to a 7% fee when you do the math (at the moment of writing).

In our opinion pools should be as transparant as possible about mining rewards, that's why we provide the exact calculation of our rewards in our faq.

Anyway, our 2% is a lot less than their purported 7% fee Smiley

We have just lowered the ABCPool.co fee-boundary for both automatic and instant withdrawal to 0.2 BTC. That means you can now enjoy your rewards even sooner!

It was all documented in our thread. It's true that for a while we actually had a negative fee, that is the per-share reward was MORE than each share was worth, but I'm sure you knew that as you worked it out Smiley

Anyway the details are in our thread, and since we found a block since, it's back to normal now. You're right though, we don't actually mention our 7% anywhere, I'll get that fixed.

Although I'm almost positive I'm using the right PIN, the site won't accept what I enter in order to change certain settings. How would I go about changing or confirming my PIN?

st4rdust, I am going over all functions on our 'account details' page now to see if perhaps the new site design messed with some of the functionality. I'll get back to you on this.

After reviewing the code, I found and fixed a bug involving PIN on the account details page. Could you try again? If you still encounter the 'invalid pin' message, let me know and I'll issue you a new pin (PM me if you have preference for any particular PIN).

As you may have noticed, ABCPool.co cannot be reached. Although the server is running smoothly, Amazon is reporting network connectivity issues in the data center that is hosting ABCPool (EC2 N. Virginia).

Once network connectivity is restored you may have to restart your miners.

You can follow Amazons progress in resolving this issue here:
http://status.aws.amazon.com/

As of yet, there is no estimate for when ABCPool will be up again. We are sorry for the inconvenience!

ABCPool just resurfaced on the Internet it seems. Please verify that your miners have started mining again.

NB: Amazon is not confirming yet that they have resolved the connectivity issues.

Amazon has now confirmed that they have indeed resolved the connectivity issues. Connectivity was lost for somewhat less than half an hour. Although every minute not mining is one too many, Amazons response time is pretty good I guess.

Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience.

I have a couple ghash of miners in your pool and noticed payout was broken after the Amazon downtime.
Pool seems to hand out work normally though.

Any ETA on fix? Thanks.

We're looking into it now. It would help if we knew:
* what the particular error message is you're getting?
* whether  you are referring to automatic or instant payout?

We have not verified the issue yet, so it's hard to say. If the issue was temporary due to the connection problems, it may already work again. But maybe it's something else. Payout issues are tricky; you don't want to introduce extra bugs when fixing them. Therefore it will probably be a couple of hours from now to get everything fixed and tested.

I hope you are not in too big a big hurry to buy those alpaca socks with your hard earned BTC Smiley

Nah, no hurry or alpaca rush.. I just withdraw once every 48 hours on all pools I mine on.

This is the error:

Quote
Fatal error: Uncaught BitcoinClientException:
  • : Didn't receive 200 OK from remote server. (HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error) thrown in on line 0
That's by manual payout.

UPDATE on the payout problem: We have a pretty good idea what the problem is. We have prioritized some other payout-related work on our todo list to combine it with the fix for this problem. This will also improve records-keeping on our side so we'll be better able to troubleshoot any future payout issues.

Thanks for your continued patience.

The promised site improvements have been deployed successfully. That means:
* Fixed auto-payout delays because of invalid Bitcoin addresses
* Validation of Bitcoin addresses entered into account details
* Improved feedback for bitcoind errors
* way better backend-accounting (invisible to you Smiley
This is the error:

Quote
Fatal error: Uncaught BitcoinClientException:
  • : Didn't receive 200 OK from remote server. (HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error) thrown in on line 0
That's by manual payout.
Jack, as it turns out the Bitcoin address you have configured in 'my account' is invalid. That's why the payment could not be processed. In order to withdraw your funds, please re-configure the address and try again.

Thanks to the site improvements, from now on you will be told about an invalid address as soon as you enter it. That's a lot better than the cryptic error message you encountered during payment.

Happy Hashing!

Yes, you're right. Though I copypasted it, the last letter somehow ended up lower case instead of upper.

Works fine now & thanks for the help.

You're welcome. In the end I tested your address on my own ABCPool.co account and it actually said it was invalid. So that took care of testing the validation logic and solving your problem at the same time Cheesy

im testing this out with my 1.3gh hash got 2 of my friends to mine here to.  One thing that would be nice under stats is to add daily or last 24hrs stales, invailds and shares so you can kinda keep track how many you are getting each day.

Welcome to ABCPool bal3wolf! Those 24 hour stats are an excellent idea. It shouldn't be too hard to implement either. We'll put it on our todo list for next week.
