Welcome to ABCPool Rizzler!

You'll need to add http:// to the URL. Give it a try like this:
C:\Users\miner\Desktop\cgminer-2.0.1-win32\cgminer.exe -o http://pool.abcpool.co:8332 -u myuser.default -p mypass

Merged mining clarification: ABCPool.co still highest paying PPS pool
People seem to be focused a lot on merged mining rewards these days. We'd like to point out that Merged Mining is not a silver bullet that will double your income overnight.

Merged Mining currently earns about 2.7% extra when compared to traditional BTC mining. That number can be derived from the current difficulty ratio's, exchange rate, conversion costs and stale rates. Last week it was 4%. The NMC bonus was much higher at first (>120%!), but has steadily dropped without signs of stopping.

Consider this: Because of our 0% fee, ABCPool is currently the highest paying PPS pool out there at the moment, even though we do not pay rewards for merged mining!

BTCguild gives you the 2.7% NMC bonus, but then takes away 5% in fees. That adds up to ~2.3% fee, worse than ABCPool's 0%. There are other PPS pools, but they charge even more.

Other pools offer 0% Merged Mining, but keep in mind that they have high variance as they are *not* PPS pools. At ABCPool you will earn the same amount each and every day, until there's a difficulty change or you stop mining.

NB: ABCPool may offer MM rewards at some point in the future, possibly in combination with a higher fee.

Happy mining everyone!

...
In our logs I can see that you're successfully mining with cgminer now; what turned out to be the magic command to get it done?

Earlier today there were some network issues that lasted about 30 minutes. Please check if your miners have reconnected to the pool.

Hi Mineriapepe,

Locking the payment address is recommended, so kudos for securing your account! Smiley

However, we don't have a function to lock the auto-payout threshold. There are a few restrictions to the threshold:
* The amount must be higher than 0.2 BTC. If you enter a lower number it will be changed to 0 (0=disable auto payout)
* The amount must be lower than 5 BTC. If you enter a higher number it will be changed to 5.
* You must enter your PIN. If you don't enter the PIN the changes won't be saved.

What is the amount you are trying to set it to? What is the message that is returned at the top of the page when you try?

It would be nice if the automatic payout was a payout threshold rather than the amount to payout. For larger miners (over 10Gh), getting a 5 btc payout twice a day does not work out at my pool balance would just keep rising.

Thanks.

Actually this has a simple solution. There are only two payouts per day, so set the threshold to 0.2. You will get the highest multiple of 0.2 as the payout.  I think that is almost what you want. Likewise, set it to 1 and get the highest multiple of 1.

I don't have 30GH/s capacity, but it has worked for me.

Fred0 describes it well.

I've also just changed the wording on the account page to make it clearer how auto-payout is done.
