Low deadline lets you issue another transaction for the same alias you mean?
Yes.

No. I'm saying that if I get lucky and get block before 22k, next block for me would be hundreds of days (because of reset of non-forging trigger). As I understood, if there is no server running where my acc is unlocked, I would not participating if forging. That's why when I unlock just before 22k, time of non-forging would be increased (and the forge chance too).
P.S. What about 'log out from other sessions' button?
Nxt forging doesn't work this way. It completely doesn't matter if u be forging or not before block 22000. PS: No such button and it's not planned.

what happens if i send another alias transaction for the same alias when the previously it's still "into the deadline timer"?
Both will be confirmed (subject to fee value) charging double fee loss.

OOOOH I JUST GOT IT
if we all register google and i put nxt1 and 1400 minutes and someone else bets higher in that time period, then they will get it
if we all register google and i put 10k and 1 minute I will get it right away (unless orphaned blocks)
If i registered smoochycoochybrooklynbtc and i put nxt1 and and 1 minute it will time out because of all the other high demand blocks
and if I registered smoochycoochybrooklynbtc for nxt1 and 1440 it will be fine because no one else will want it (well now you all do..)
so ideally a not popular name should only cost 1nxt but doing it at block 22001 will fail, so stretch it out to a later block.
FOR THIS, YOU ALL OWE ME SOME COINS
ha thanks

So how are all of you getting more NXT coins. I have a measley 1500 NXT as I just got started and find myself wanting more believing in this coin.. It is hard to buy more since it is pricy via BTC but I want my friends to get started as weel. I figured I'd be the trailblazer! I wanted to understand it and accumulate some more NXT. I don't think forging per day with my amount would do much to add to it... Thx. This thread is so helpful thus far to all my dumb questions! Need to add this to my sig as well... nah, it's BTC that is pricey, not NXT provided NXT can already do everything BTC can do, and other features are promised to be here soon. well, i buy mine at dgex.com mostly, did you check out the first page of this thread? there is a link to the bounty thread, you can do something useful for the community and receive some coins. Or buy them at dgex.com or from someone directly. There is no other way.

thx for the info I'll check out the page. It just seems limited with BTC as many dont have BTC. Wish dgex turned on at least 2-3 other coins like LTC and others to exchange with. Not sure what coin is the most profitable to mine to trade to BTC consistently, I guess that would be the next best.

So if someone sets a deadline of 500minutes for a specific alias, does that mean that alias will not be registerable in that 500 minute time period by anyone? Acting like an auction of sorts? What is the maximum deadline?

On a second note, do I understand it right I can enquirer my Alias already now, just I would have to set the time to about 700 min so it will get kicked of at block 22k ?
No. U have to push a transaction right after block 22000 (or 2 seconds before that). Ok thanks you!

Really no need to be on an arm-race for aliases. There should be a plenty for everyone. I very unfortunately have to travel at 22000 block. Would ask the wife to act as aproxy but not sure she is tech-savy enough to handle unexpected issues.
PM me, happy to register alias for you in new account and give you password later.

no its the opposite the deadline keeps the auction open for others. higher bid moves you up the blockchain. highest bids for any alias will be first. lower bids in order, and until you are confirmed as the register, someone else can outbid you because their bid would move up the blockchain example google 100000 first sex 9999 nxt 9998 thats 3 blocks done. so any blocks less than 3 will have timed out. your low 1 bids will wait until there are no more high priced blocks, so say block 400 there is no more bids except yours and it will go through. BUT if before block 400 when your is processed, someone bid 2nxt, they would go first

I guess not, I remember CfB said block size is something like 32 kb, transaction size normally is less than 1 kb, so quite a few transactions can be served per one block.

If I remember correctly, each block size is 32 KiB maximum. The minimum transaction size is 128 byte. So one block can only contain so many transactions. Just how many it depends on the size of the transactions. 250 max.

Keep in mind due to likely big blocks and high competition even high fee bids could eventually get orphaned . For example if you bid 100000 fee for 'sex' and someone else bids 1 but your bid block gets orphaned someone could get 'sex' for 1 fee. its gonna be fun.
