If I remember correctly, each block size is 32 KiB maximum. The minimum transaction size is 128 byte. So one block can only contain so many transactions. Just how many it depends on the size of the transactions. 250 max.

I remember somewhere Code from Beyond said maxium 4000 aliases can be carried in one block.

I use v. 4.0 in windows 7, with or without Nxtfiles it doesn't move from the genesis block at all.
All those public nodes on Russian forum do not work, even the https://162.243.145.83:7875/ that worked before, now gets to the login page but after 5 secnods disappears and goes to a balck page with this motto: Matrix has got you... access denied?!

Perhaps we should place a bounty for an auto updating win client, like the one wesleyh made for Mac.
