It will always be under attack.

Edit: The exchange could accept only deposits with deadline set to 32767 and rebroadcast transactions.

What do you mean please? Customers cannot enter deadline in minutes nor can they rebroadcast manually, not feasible to demand such from people who just want to transfer money

So... I bought some NXT, I played with the server/client... all looks nice.

The only thing that bothers me is the fact that 20-something people hold 1 billion NXT.

Isn't this exactly like Ripple?!

No, it is the closed-source version of Ripple.

ZjP and j0b figured out that by blacklisting all the heavily weighted nodes their clients resync.  This is because the weighting algorithm gives too high a priority to large accounts.  This needs to be remedied.

ZjP (nxt: 6481558415262535339) and j0b (nxt: 13570469120032392161) deserve some Nxt for figuring this out.

What really bothers me is that transaction are so freaking slow. Yesterday I both applied for the 1 free Nxt as well as withdrew some Nxt from dgex to test it. My account is still empty :/

It looks like it.  Although, Dgex's account is still messed up and causing issues.

Hah, nxtalk was designed to handle with DDoSes. That's why it took some more time to configure it and it was released just after nextcoin.org and became second runner for a while...

and it was all done in public in this very board a few weeks ago. everyone could invest in the beginning, and 70 some invested. they now distribute the coins to more and more nxt-user. it's still beta, thats why the code isn't public yet. give it a week or two.

i didn't invest btw.

Sorry but how to do that if there is no incoming in the network? Customer would need to input txid or broadcastbytes (both cumbersome)

Also rebroadcasting seems to take several seconds for a single tx, cannot imagine having a list of 3 weeks' transactions rebroadcasted constantly...
