BCNext said something like do not worry about NXT being popular (or valuable). Build a digital economy using NXT. People will use the things we can build with NXT. NXT is like the roads, plumbing and wiring. Not really stuff most people get excited about. We need to build the stores, buildings, movie theatres, even farms (like POPPP has) using NXT. Most people wont know or care that they are using NXT, but of course some people will realize the value of NXT is related to the sum of the value of all the things that can be built on top of NXT.
So the more services we can come up with to build on top of NXT, the more people will indirectly use NXT. As a community, if we can think of things for "normal" people to use built on top of NXT and then making it as easy for them to do this, then the number of NXT users will be much larger than the number of bitcoin users. Also, it will be relatively easy to monetize any significant usage so we can build businesses creating services for people, all on top of NXT.
THINK BIG!
BCNext gave us a platform to build on. Like the Internet protocol when it only supported email. Sure email was useful as compared to faxes, but most people back then actually sent physical letters through the mail! How many protocols run on top of IP today? How many things can we build on top of NXT? What will be the http equivalent for NXT?
James
yes ,good, but what about the clones? who can stop all this future services being cloned in hundreds of clones (FEX,MEX,TEX .....) of next

So question:
Scenario 1: BOTH TRANSACTIONS IN SAME BLOCK
- I make a bid on an asset. - A few seconds later, I change my mind and cancel the order.
Is it possible that I still have to pay for it since someone accepted my order in between?
Scenario 2: BOTH TRANSACTIONS IN DIFFERENT BLOCKS
- I make a bid on an asset - A block later, I change my mind and cancel the order.
Is it possible that I still have to pay for it since someone accepted my order in between?

How change password in the NXT account???
You don't. You will always be the owner of the old account under the old password. Generate a new password to obtain a new account, and transfer NXT from old to new if necessary. Use Awesome Password Generator set to 35-50 chars,

We discuss proposals (and maybe could use NXT vote for opinion overview) and then the devs decide. If devs make shit, community hopefully won't use new version. There is no other way now and in the future, I suppose.
I believe this was ZeroTheGreat's proposal. I didn't like it to begin with after the VS posts going on and and and round and round... this seems sensible.

yes ,good, but what about the clones? who can stop all this future services being cloned in hundreds of clones (FEX,MEX,TEX .....) of next Which network will you trust your livelihood to? The original and most robust or the unknown quality of clone network? It will not be easy to get a 1000TPS network infrastructure. This will not be as simple as copying software. gotta clone the network also and I expect all the NXT hubs will have a significant price tag. If there are any bugs caused by mismatched network issues in the clone network, I doubt any of the original NXT devs would bother making fixes for the clone. NXT is not just the software. It is also the hardware and MOST importantly the community. What benefit is there for people using the services built on clones vs original NXT? None that I can see. Hence, there wont be any services on clone networks that are not also on original NXT network, but the same cannot be said for the reverse. Ignoring the giant lead in userbase, even starting from scratch, the original NXT network has permanent advantages. Combine this with the 20,000+ existing users and I cannot even imagine a scenario where a NXT clone network overtakes NXT. Well, maybe one scenario, NXTDOGE might have a chance. James

I see, you can check it through transfer, but I will think of adding it maybe in my orders window.
Why not on the Overview page? You could list there everything you own (NXT, traded assets, issued assets, etc...)

Does ANYBODY either attend or work at John Hopkins in Baltimore? Or know anybody that does?
I am projecting that NXTcash project will be bottlenecked by waiting for the new release from zerocoin. I want to have someone demonstrate a working NXTcash based on the alpha libzerocoin directly to Matt Green at John Hopkins. No promises on when zeronet (testnet for NXTcash) will be ready, but as soon as it is, I want to be able to arrange an in person demo. maybe crash one of his lectures with a solar raspi, anything.
The way the NXTcash project is setup, as soon as we get the libzerocoin2, we will be able to quickly retrace the path we took to integrating libzerocash, especially since all the client and high level parts will stay the same. This way, we can help zerocoin with finding any bugs and also providing a demonstration platform for their new tech.
PLEASE PM me if you have the appropriate contacts, preferably the dean!
James
P.S. I already have a client developer, so no need for anymore client devs for now.
Maybe this is useful: https://twitter.com/jerrybrito/status/433350116187971586
