I was really only suggesting a "work-around" for now - the idea of having "two types of assets" (one that is fixed in units and one that can change units) could indeed be useful. I guess it is a question of how tricky it will be to do that (perhaps CfB would care to comment?).

If we need ability to issue extra units then let's add it.

Only if you make two types of assets though; one is static and cannot be increased by the issuer. The other can. Great stuff.

I say, good luck to DOGE.

They do a remarkable job spreading a feel good message.
Nxt does a totally different things, so I am a bit surprised people get so upset about Doge taking off.

It's a different beast and has its own curve of growth and decline. Comparing it to Nxt and vice versa is useless.

I for one am glad that at this moment it offsets the negativity surrounding BTC.

At this moment we have few things to offer to people who use Doge, so why waste energy worrying about it? We do good work at developing Nxt and that will pay off in the future. Price is unimportant at the moment. We are still attracting people. Even better, at the moment we are attracting people who are interested in a system that is developing, rather than people who want to quickly pump and dump.
