I updated to the latest source code and compiled.
Now I'm using the latest version of Qt on Linux.
My address is: 162x541sgpVyZUhDas3ms7vZ7VXHfAJFB5.

What can I help to test the new version?

Hey thanks, can you mine the coin please if you think you can generate some coins please. If you know how to compile windows or mac that would be great as well. I just sent you 100 globes make sure transaction is ok and i will send the other 100

I'm trying to mine the coins. I will update if I can successfully mine some coins.
But I haven't received the 100 coins. So there might be some problem with the transaction.

Hahaha funny you should say that. I said the same thing to myself yesterday started downloading mingw from scratch etc. Just didn't think I would have to make a change so quickly.

I just updated 15 minutes ago.
Yes, I can successfully mine it. But I still get the 7.9999999 GLB, which is supposed to be 8, right?

It's wired. I still haven't received any coins except mining.
Let's test the new address:
17Uv5AhHSEspdfAGhii2RGzTNmVaCmr5qT

You can just send me 1 GLB to test.

Update:
Just received: +1, +100, and +1.

Thanks. It means it should work perfect, because it's not 0.9999999.

Yes but wait till the coin is fully confirmed just to be safe Smiley  would appreciate it if you could keep mining as well to confirm those on the new clients sending 98 coins to the first address Smiley

There is still problem. When I am mining, I can get 2 or 3 confirmations. But suddenly all confirmations go away, and my balance is restored to previous one, i.e., the 200 GLBs are not accepted by the network, and the rewards for my mining are also not accepted.

This means that currently there are two chains on the network.
You need to force everyone to upgrade to the new version, otherwise, the miners using new version will not get any coins any more.

Is there anyway to force all people to upgrade to the new version?
It's really an urgent issue now !!

Sorry guys, just saw the update, I've been mining with an asic with the old code which may have been contributing to keeping the network from updating to the new code.

I'll update my client and start mining again and should help get things going on the new code.

Hmmm well I'm having a bit of trouble compiling this new source, getting an error:

*** No rule to make target `libleveldb.a'. Stop.

Found some instructions for compiling libleveldb.a but they seem to be for windows and not working for me (I'm on ubuntu).

Anyway I'm off the network now so hopefully the new clients can take hold.

I'll mine some btc for the moment and maybe jump back on globe when I have some time to get the new client working.

Again apologies for the hard fork but better we do now than in a few months when more people making transactions and mining.

I think src/leveldb is missing its Makefile. I copied in the corresponding Makefile from the Freicoin source when I built the Mac client and that worked fine.
