There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

It looks like the exchange rate is now stable around 0.0000005 at both Cryptsy and Vircurex.

Good think. Are the multi pools to blame here too? Grin

Alright so the reason dogecoin price is being kept down is mainly for 2 reasons.

1) Multipool.US  --> These miners are just in it to do the most profitable coin and exchange to btc straight away, so really they don't believe in the coin they mining. So dogecoin will have to wait for a new shiny coin multipool can r@pe.
2) Bitcoin price needs to go up so altcoin prices also rise, so even if multipool scum are offloading doge to btc it will be for a higher price.

Dogecoins true value is +-142, so it's trading 3 times less then it should be.

If someone could go through the pools and PM me with a list of all the pools that aren't working anymore so I could remove them, I would be ever so grateful.

Can you add Dogecoins.info as one of the Dogecoin forums?

Also if you want to join as the developer then you will be made an administrator of the forums Grin

Ppl would pay more thats the thing its just the dumpers, get rid of them and price goes up and ppl still buy

Unfortunately Doge finds itself in a bad situation, because if the price goes down, the hashrate wiill also drop and still keep it has the most profitable coin, not sure if the coin can be changed
to maybe give out half the doge it currently is per block, I am sure most people would be up for that and it will keep the multipool dumpsters off the coin.

IFC max coin 88B. price at 3.8e-5. DOGE max coin 100B. price at 31e-5. 10 times more.

could you tell me your logic again please?

First dogecoin pool to exist (created ~4 hours after the Dogecoin launch).

Our miners have generated ~2.5 billion coins already.

Withdrawals every 30 minutes. (0.1 DOGE withdrawal fee)

3 GH/S pool hashrate.

Very low 0.5% pool fee.

Much fast website.

http://doge.scryptpools.com

Registrations will be closed when we reach 30% of the network hash rate.

Scrypt Pools had many problems and many coins were lost due to multiple payout problems. I was in over my head the moment the pool went past 500 mh/s. I did my best to keep it running but I failed. I'm embarassed and truly sorry. I will find a way to get enough doges to process the rest of the payouts and reinstate my credibility.

Okay, why Fontas?

Who is Fontas, why is he so popular?

Everytime something happens someone mentions Fontas, I see he has 18 posts on Bitcointalk, he hasn't made much of a contribution. I see he has 200 link Karma on Reddit, still not a big contribution. I see he deleted his Twitter which had I think 400 followers because when I first heard of him I looked him up and saw his twitter with a few followers, still not that much.

So why the hell is Fontas mentioned every five seconds?

This coin has the most upside potential so not suprised, I got in at 52 and I know they should be value'd at +-140 , The problem right now is the block rewards so we will have to hold until it's halved, once the multipool dumpsters have got a new go to coin to f#ckover (excuse my french) doge will rise again.
